The sky was blue and there was no cloud in sight. With the sun shining as brightly as it was, it could've easily been mistaken for a nice, sunny day. However, no matter what the sky looked like, no eyes would see its beauty, for they did not look up. Not one head would look up and be thankful for the bright sun that shone its warmth upon the land. None. Instead, all would see the grass and the beautiful land, the scenery which had been tainted and painted a crimson red.
The war was not over and it would take a lot more blood shed before it would end. All the clans knew it; the clear day was just an illusion. The remaining clans were all ashamed that they couldn't protect the royal family but there was nothing they could do against the Coyote clan. The Coyote clan alone wouldn't have been a challenge if it weren't for the Fox clan working in the shadows.
With the royal family taken out of the picture, the chief of the Coyote clan, a man named Damien, took the throne for himself. By doing so, he broke the pact between all the clans and started the Great War. However, after 13 years of war, the new monarch finally managed to extinguish the rebels and have the remaining clans under his control. The clans would have fought longer bur realised that they couldn't afford to lose anymore loved ones so they surrendered.
There was a great number of clans but only the twelve strongest clans were forced to serve Damien and it was in this beautiful day that they had their regular meeting with the king whom they all thought of as "the demon tyrant." They were required to meet up once a year to discuss anything relating to the kingdom.
As they all began to arrive one by one at the palace, they all headed to the designated room and sat in their rightful places. No conversations were initiated. They all waited in silence for the king to arrive. As the clocked ticked by, the arranged time having passed already, the chiefs became restless. They all had pride and hated the king but for the safety of the clans, they beared with their feelings.
