"Miss Shirogane, are you really sure you want to adopt him?"

"Of course I am! I've been preparing for this day all year, and since the paper work is done, I don't see the reason why should I resignate."

"Okay then..."

______________

Keith looked at the woman who'd been meeting with him last year, once a week.

And he was constantly panicking inside.

Everything will go wrong. I'm terribly sure.

"You have your things, sweetheart?" Black haired lady asked, smiling brightly, Keith anxiously nodded in response.

"Then let's go! Have you said goodbye to the friends?" Keith's face was still. He didn't have friends in the orphanage. He never had friends. Everyone was just laughing at him, pushing him off the stairs because it's hella simple to kick a twelve year old.

"Okay, it's alright, love. No pressure." Keith was very thankful for these kind words, he could see Emily Shirogane was really trying to comfort him.
It will be enough if she'll tolerate him.

Most of kids from the orphanage would say 'oh! How lucky! You're no longer homeless and parent less! You have a place where you belong now, so stop complaining!'

But Keith belonged nowhere. He was always homeless, closed.

As they walked outside, his eyesight was blurry, the world
almost spinning when he sat on the backseat of a gray car.

"Excited to see your new home and meet your brother?" She asked.

Keith wasn't really, but he simply nodded.

"Great! You'll sure love Takashi! He's caring, smart and responsible." Of course. People always tried to keep the conversation going. That annoyed him, his life was always silent.

He didn't blame miss Shirogane; that was all his parents', whoever the fuck they were, fault. That he was born.

His heart was beating fast,  not prepared to meet  someone new.  Boy,  he really hated doing stuff like this.

Woman parked the car on a peaceful street with slim but short buildings.  The sky was beautiful; puffy clouds lazily flowing through.

Keith opened the door,  taking his bag and took a whiff of this place. It smelled nice,  no smoke from cigarettes, no rotten trash, no kids' diapers. Fresh air filling his lungs kinda cheered him up, but not enough to smile. Keith never smiled,  why smile,  when you don't have any reason?

"You like the place?" His new mother asked, he rose his thumb up.
"Good! Let's go!"
They came into one of the buildings,  number six,  then entered small elevator.
Slim finger pressed '3' button, while the boy looked at himself in the mirror, seeing black mess of his hair and huge eyebags.
And useless mouth.

The lift stopped and they walked out.
She opened the door of the apartment and they both entered.

"Shiro,  darling,  we're home!"

The walls were white and full of photos, some plants standing around.

As they walked into the living room Keith saw a purple sofa, small TV,  tiny dining table and a fluffy,  gray rug,  the room was also connected to a small kitchen.
Gods.  These people had something with gray color pattern,  but he completely understood.  It was calming and peaceful, kinda nostalgic.

He heard footsteps and saw a teenager appear next to his mom.
He was tall, well builded (you know,  like he was going to the gym everyday) had grey eyes and black hair with an undercut and a weird forelock.
