Lance groaned.
"Levantante Lance! Mamá made pancakes today." That was his older sister, Anna Maria.
"Okay, okay. Just give me a sec." He sat up, rubbing his head unconsciously. "What's today? Saturday?"
"Yeah. It's 10am and you had a thing with your friends planned, didn't you?"
"Oh, yep. I'm hanging out with Hunk and Pidge today! Thanks for reminding. I'll be downstairs in a while."
She winked and saluted while walking out of his room.
He felt a really great urge to stay in the bed after watching shows past 5am, but he'll somehow make it up with coffee, so he decided to get up and freed himself off his plane themed blanket. (Kinda childish, but he really liked it, it added something aesthetical to the atmosphere.
But Lance learned to enjoy everything, even mornings. He liked the tickling sensation of the fluffy carpet touching his bare feet, he liked to open the window and smell the ocean nearby, he liked to stretch out, smiling and humming random lines from songs.
He looked at his hand to check if his soulmate has written something, but there was nothing on his skin.
Okay then.
He pulled on his favorite jeans and shirt, brushed his short, brown hair really quickly and- now he was ready to go downstairs.
The hallway was full of photos, starting off his parents' 'young ages' to nowadays. They were all so sweet and heartwarming that Lance couldn't resist not to look at them every morning.
His parents' wedding, Anna Maria's first steps, her birthday, auts and uncles Lance couldn't even recognize, his first pictures, their first "family" holidays, twins are born, next is Angelica...
Just time. Lance was really fascinated with it. Some people say it's an illusion, and he totally agreed. Illusions are the most beautiful, right?
He walked downstairs to see his whole family sitting by the dining table, chatting happily as always.
"Oh, look. There's our sleeping beauty! Had a good night, Lance?" Asked Bianca, one of the twins, they were both twelve years old.
"Magnificent. But this thing"- he pointed at Anna Maria-" decided to wake me up." He pouted.
"Okay, okay, we understand." said his older sister. "Maybe instead of talking you would like to eat?"
"Of course, yes, yes." Lance grinned, sitting on the free chair.
He took three pancakes and poured some maple syrup on it, smiling all along.
"Sooo... What are the plans for today, kids?" Asked mum.
"I'm studying with Tiffany today." Anna Maria declared, mouth still half full of pancake.
"I'm hanging out with Hunk and Pidge. You know. Extraordinary things."
"Great. Marco, how about we take the rest of kids to mum and have some private time?" There she winked at her husband.
"Yes! Grandma always gives us cookies!" Angelica screamed happily.
"Cookies! Cookies! Cookies!" The twins chanted.
"Okay, okay." Dad leaned forward to stroke Lucas' brown locks. "Good idea. Really good."
