After getting rid of Blue's stupid idea, Keith came out of the bathroom, sighing internally. Now there was no chance of finding Abigail.
'Welp. Let's try to survive alone' he thought, looking around trying to ignore his obvious sensory overload. 'Gosh. Five minutes longer and I'm gonna get a panic attack, as well as I know my life.'
He frowned, going upstairs, where there seemed to be less people, he also caught a glimpse of a balcony last time he was there.
The door was open, soft breeze coming from the nearby sea. What a relief from the smell of so many people.
He stepped outside, but he noticed the presence of someone else, so he backed away. Too late.
"Come on, you don't have to leave."
Shit.
The person standing there was tall and definitely not skinny, so he identified the guy as one of Lance's friends. 'What was his name?'
"We haven't really interacted, like, ever. I'm Hunk." The guy smiled, his face seemed really friendly.
'How can someone like this be friends with this idiot?'
Keith stared at him for a while, before realizing it would be good to... Make a conversation. Too bad.
"Don't worry!" Hunk ended the short silence. Your name is Keith, right?"
He nodded.
"Too much, huh? Parties are not my thing either." He shrugged.
The corners of Keith's lips curved upright in a small smile.
"Hey, since I have an occasion, I wanted to apologize."
The mute boy tilted his head slightly.
"For Lance. He's an idiot and I thought you'd like to know... He really wanted to be your friend." Keith's expression must've been ridiculous. "I'm serious, man." Hunk leaned on the balustrade. "Freshman year he talked about you nonstop. He even learned sign language to be able to talk. But something went wrong along the way. I'm not sure what, but in the feisty head of his, you got considered as a rival of some sort, at one point."
Keith listened closely, not believing what he's hearing.
"Anyways. I'm sorry for him, he doesn't know any better. You should give him a chance." Hunk smiled once more. "Now, buddy, I should go, Pidge's probably looking for me."
He nodded, still processing what he just heard.
What the actual, everloving fuck.___________________
The party wasn't all that bad after all.
Keith ate some pizza and drank unhealthy amount of Pepsi (alcohol was gross in his opinion) which would probably result in a really bad sickness on the next day, but he didn't care at the moment.
At some point he even found Abigail, and they danced to a song about suicide, in an upbeat tune, which some seniors in sweatpants (not really caring about life anymore) sneaked in.While walking back home, Abigail bought him a slushy at the local gas station. It was a great evening, and he didn't even think it would be.

But as great as it was, the morning was slightly disappointing. Keith woke up with a stomach ache, just as he predicted. He even threw up in the bathroom, it slightly relieved the pain.
Now he was standing in the kitchen, doing the dishes, still grumpy.
"Didn't know you we're such a party animal." Shiro laughed at him, still a bit concerned.
Keith wanted to give him a middle finger, but did nothing, just shrugged.
"At least you had fun, that's important." He added, putting on his old jacket.
'Where are you going?' the younger boy signed to him.
"Gotta help Matt with his motorcycle. He said he knows what happened, but there's two people necessary."
'Great excuse to get free food.' Keith didn't get a proper response for that, only a brief smile, and then Shiro walked out, nearly slamming the door, and you could hear his loud footsteps on in the hallway.
Keith shook his head. 'He never gets me lasagna.'
He honestly felt like shit right now, waiting for a breakdown to come. He couldn't stand even a few hours alone at this point, without anxiety pulling him to hell.
At least a new episode of Buzzfeed Unsolved came out yesterday, he didn't watch it yet.___________________
For Lance, the party was really fun. He almost didn't have any complains. He shared a quick, heated up kiss with Plaxum in the backyard pool, slid down the stairs in a carton box, danced, flirted.
Almost no complains.
He didn't find his soulmate, and at 10am his whole family, including grandmas, aunts and uncles, knew about that.He lay on his bed, looking at the ceiling, listening to the familiar noises downstairs. Water boiling in the old, white kettle, the twins' favourite show, mum having a dispute with Anna Maria. It all sounded so... Otherworldly in comparison to what he was expecting to be doing today.
What is a soulmate anyway? So many lessons in school, so much waiting for her to show up, so many hours spent fantasizing about the moment of their meeting, so many thoughts in her direction, yet his perfect girl still refused to make further contact with him.
What is wrong with me?The room was silent. The silence loud it was sickening. He coughed a few times, just to relieve it, but it didn't go away.
Why?
He wasn't in a mood to listen to music, either. Lance got up and opened the window, letting the warm air in, despite AC working at the time.
He could see the ocean from here. Blue as most things in his life.
Or so he thought.
He was a fool for thinking that.
Or was he?
If he smoked, he'd definitely light a cigarette right now, and let the smoke fly with the wind. Instead, he had to stand there, wondering if his soulmate doesn't want him.A familiar signal soon shattered the silence, glass cage of loneliness opened. It was his phone.
[Pidge] call me. I need 2talk 2u
He hesitated, but it wasn't often that he received this type of messages.
He choose the list of contacts and scrolled until he found Katie.
A few signals and she was on line."Hey-"
"I know who your soulmate is." This one sentence was the thing that awoke him.
"What?!"
"You. Me. Hunk. Five minutes. Beach." She hung up.

"Just say it already!" They were sitting at the beach, as established earlier. Hunk and Pidge constantly shared quick looks.
"Okay. I walked into the bathroom yesterday at the party, right?"
"Yeah..." He raised his eyebrows so much you'd be worried they're about to fling themselves violently into the sun.
"I walked in and saw Keith. You know. The mute guy. He was washing a blue star off of his cheek.'
Lance stood up so fast sand landed on Pidge's face.
"WHAT THE HELL?! You're pranking me!" He crossed his arms.
"Jesus Christ. " she muttered.
"Chill out." Said Hunk. "I kind of talked to him later and he did have a blueish smudge in these regions. I believe Katie."
"I.... I know you'd never lie to me, bro... But, but that's, that's ... So off. That's not,not... I'm not gay! I swear I'm not gay!" Lance nearly shouted, holding his head in his hands. His eyes went wide.
That would explain why his soulmate didn't wanna meet up.
They feared rejection. Muteness is a disability after all..."It sounds... Convincing if I think about it, but... How is my soulmate a boy?! Besides, how am I gonna make it up to him! I was so horrible to Keith last years! He hates me!" Tears started to form in the corners of his eyes, but he immediately felt Hunk's arms wrap around him.
"It'll be alright buddy. You're soulmates. How could you know? If you two are really ment to be, he's going to forgive you. I swear." his friend assured.
But what if not?
