Lance couldn't believe his luck. Not only did he live so close to his soulmate- they might've been in the same English class. And, what was really important - he was gonna spot that girl on Friday. No way he's going to miss the opportunity. He could picture him and Red, hugging immediately, their soft voice, happy to finally meet, the feeling he haven't experienced yet- the feeling of being complete.
"You look really distracted today." his sister's voice snapped him out of his thoughts. "You didn't even eat breakfast." Anna raised an eyebrow at him while pouring a glass of juice.
"Ah. Yea. One girl is throwing a party on Friday and my soulmate is gonna be there!"
"Really? I thought Red is really shy. From what you told me, she looks rather like the type to never leave her house at all." she sat on the counter, looking around to see if no one was looking, but their parents were out on a 'date'.
"I thought so, too." He shrugged, changing his position on the couch, now he sat upside down, while his legs were sticking out into the air.
Anna rolled her eyes. "Mamá told you not to do that."
"I don't see her here." He smirked.
"Whatever. Good that you're going to finally meet Red. I'm proud of you, just act like Lance and she'll love you. She probably does already, tho." she smiled.
"Of course she does. I'm Lance. What else would I need?"
Anna shook her head and laughed loudly. "You're right. I don't see why someone wouldn't love you. Maybe a few reasons, but she's your soulmate and has to live with your bullshit anyway."
This time Lance was the one to laugh.

Keith was just a bundle of nerves now. He was sitting on the couch, far away from reality, staring blankly at the wall. You know this feeling when your anxiety is on such a high level that you feel like something is sitting on your chest and your throat is clenched so tight that you feel like you're drowning? Well then. Now you have the idea of how he felt in the moment.
"Hey, Keith. Are you alright?" He snapped back to see Shiro, looking over at him with concern while cooking pasta.
"Yes." He signed, although it wasn't really convincing, since his hands were shaking.
He really wanted Shiro to stop being so interested in him. Who even cares if he's okay? It doesn't matter now, nothing matters. He wanted to sink into the floor, disappear, only to have an excuse for not going to this stupid party.Takashi's steel gray eyes seemed to look right through him.
"I don't think so. Please tell me. Remember what your therapist said?"
Keith rolled his eyes, making a noise similar to a sigh.
'He's gonna find out anyway, so...'"I'm going to a party on Friday." He signed.
His brother looked at him, confused, nearly knocking over a cup.
"That's great! I told you you need to socialize more!" He smiled, happiness brightening his face.
"Blue is gonna be there." Keith added, looking at him with the same blank expression.
"You're gonna meet her?! Finally! I'm so happy for you! This is going to be the best day of your life!" He nearly shouted, but then toned it down, noticing Keith's expression. "Why the long face?"
"I'm mute." He was close to crying at this point. Talking about this was too much for him, he knew it all along, damn, his invalidity ruined his life, but putting it out there, without sugarcoating it? It hurt. It hurt so much. Keith was starting to shake.
