It's been a full week since Lance had admitted to himself that he's indeed bisexual. It was hard at first, and kinda weird. He expected himself to turn into one of these 'social justice warriors' and follow a bunch of angsty LGBT accounts.

But he did not.

Everything was normal, well, except for the fact that his and his friends' suspicions have turned out to be true, and now he basically needed to make up for two years of being mean to Keith.

Basically.

Easier said than done, huh?

For Lance it all sounded hard enough at the moment.

He was listening to the usual noises; his mum was probably still back at the store, and dad hadn't brought along him to help at the mechanic shop today after school, so it looked like he didn't need him.

He heard the twins bickering downstairs and Angelica loudly gossiping with her friend on the phone while most likely painting her nails an obscure shade of orange, Anna Maria was listening to some weird indie music in the other room, probably high.

What mamá doesn't know won't hurt her, right?

Right.

Lance yawned, lazily switching the stations on his old stereo. Most of them only made static noises anyways, but it was nice to have an illusion of some sort of a choice between all of them.

He turned onto his side, the old bed creaking slightly with the movement. The book he just couldn't focus on fell down onto the floor with a loud thump, but he didn't feel like picking it up. He looked at his phone, nothing interesting. His friends were busy, no one bothered to write anything.
Then suddenly...

Goose bumps.

A message slowly started appearing on his forearm, and he hurriedly bunched up his sleeve, only to see what he expected: Red's-
Keith's, he corrects himself; neat handwriting.

Hey Blue, I'm sorry for acting so weird lately. I just wanted you to know I'm afraid of you rejecting me since I'm not happy with who I am today, and I just want to wait for a good moment to meet you, when I have it all figured out... Sorry again. I hope I didn't hurt you too much and we can talk like we used to again. - said the note.

Oh Keith... If you only knew.

But he didn't want to tell him yet. It would be unfair, besides, he wanted to really get a chance to fall for him first.

Lance grabbed a pen that was uselessly laying on the floor.

It's alright. I respect that, let's just stay in contact and forget I'm dumb.

He wrote back, and the answer appeared shortly after.

Neat.

'Neat' in Keith's mind probably meant 'I'm not interested in the convo right now, so leave me alone for a second.'
A wave of relief washed over him instantly, stretching his lips in a wide grin, hand finally finding some good song on one of the stations.

This afternoon wasn't bad after all.

It's been two months since the soulmate revelation, and Keith Kogane still had no clue.

Over the course of time Lance's friends have managed to warm him up to themselves, so now Keith was practically a part of their little pack, even though he wouldn't hang out with them as often as they'd like. He wasn't that boring, Lance had noticed: he was actually very, very smart, and his silence in the back of the class was just another perk of his introverted personality. He mate witty and sharp remarks, sarcastic jokes that made Pidge snort and say 'jeez, he really was worth it' and was passionate about a lot of topics, it turned out.
