Keith couldn't be more upset about the situation. The biggest jerk in the world, Lance freakin McClain, sitting next to him for gods know how long. Damnit. How could anyone possibly be this unlucky?

Well. He was an expert in the unlucky stuff.

He glared at Lance, but took his backpack out of the way to let him sit down on the free chair.

The brunet looked over at him, and Keith was surprised, not finding much hate in his deep, blue eyes. Those were the eyes of someone who's clearly upset, but not enough to start shouting death threats or something. He was just... Doing the last thing he would expect McClain to do- accepting the reality.

A couple of people looked at them, expecting a fight or an argument, but seeing the boys calm they returned to their work, bored.

Just as Keith thought it would be alright, he caught a glance of Lance signing something, so he looked at his hands. 'Kinda clever. Nobody will know we're talking.' He thought.

'You write with red ink?'

'Yes.  I do.' He responded,  kinda surprised by the question, he thought Lance would rather start making fun of him than ask him something so obvious and simple.

The blue eyed boy didn't say anything else, just stared at Keith, which was enough to irritate him, but he decided to ignore Lance and got back to work.

Finally, after a couple more minutes, the bell rang and his unwanted companion quickly went up to Hunk, both boys leaving the classroom and chatting, like rest of the students. Keith stood there for a while, packing his things, until the teacher gestured at him to leave, because he had to close the class.

~~~Lunch break~~~
Keith took the food and moved to his usual spot, a table in the corner of the cafeteria, as far from everyone as possible. 'Jeez. I must look so edgy.' He thought for like the hundredth time in his life.
"Hey loser. Mind if I sit here?" A familiar voice made him look up at the girl standing before him.  It was Abigail, her nearly pitch black skin contrasting with a yellow shirt with some sports club logo on. Her backpack was hanging on her shoulder, dark dreadlocks fixed up into a bun.
Abigail was sort of a friend of his, if he was to explain that. She sat with him once,  when there was no room for her anywhere else, and she just happened to know sign language, besides,  Keith's presence didn't bother her in any way, so now she sat there every day.
He nodded, a little smile appearing on his face.
"Wassup. You didn't text me on weekend." She said, sitting down.
Keith shrugged. 'Didn't feel like talking.'
"Okay,  that's understandable."
They ate in silence for a while, until Abigail spoke again. "So, Mr. Mcloneredgelord. Lux is throwing a party on Friday. She invited everyone from English class. Wanna go?"
'You're not even in my English class.' He looked at her confused, chewing a fry.
"Yeah but I'm in drama club. She invited us too. I heard her house is big as hell and she has a pool. Inside the house. Y'know. She's smokin rich, after all." She gave him a suggestive look.
'I don't like parties.' He frowned.
"C'mon, Keith.  I'm sure there will be food~" she smirked knowingly.
'Damn,  you know how to catch my attention.' He nearly smiled, signing.
"Of course I know.  So. Will you go there with me?  You know. As friends. I don't like these fake ass bitches from class and I would prefer your companion." Abigail continued smiling.
