BANG! A rock hit my window. I groaned and crawled out of bed. Moon light shimmered in though my closed winder. I looked through the glass pane and saw Andrew standing in my front lawn. My mood slightly lightened and I rushed to my closet and pulled on a pair of jeans, leather jacket, and black combat boots.

Then I slowly raised my window, just so I could climb though and get on the balcony that outlined my room. Before I left I checked the time, 5:00 AM. What was wrong with Andrew? Did he know that I hated being woken up in the morning.

I groaned and scaled down the lattice of ivy that lined the old house. When I got twenty feet down I jumped the other three and landed right in front of Andrew. He gave me a small kiss on the cheek and I sighed.

"What are you doing?' I demanded playfully. "It's five o'clock in the morning.

"I wanted to show you something." He said grabbing my hand and mulling me away from my house. I couldn't help but smile at how childish he was. Andrew led me across the neighborhood and behind overgrown lots. We ran thought he twisty streets of New York and towards Central Park. My teeth chattered as the cold wind whipped through the dead tree branches.

"W-h-a-a-at d-do you w-w-wan to do?" I asked, rubbing my hands together to keep warm.

"Are you cold?" Andrew asked, stopping under a spindly tree. Light snowflakes twisted around us and everything was perfect. Except for the fact that I was freezing to death. I hurriedly nodded to answer Andrew's question. He smiled and took off his long black trench coat and placed it over me. I smiled, rested my arms on his shoulders, and kissed him. He leaned down so I didn't have to stand on my toes to kiss him. Andrew broke away soon though. I frowned as he took my hand and pulled me forward.

"Come on." He insisted. I shed and let him pull me on wards. Finally we stopped at a small pond about ten feet in diameter.

"You came all the way over here just to show me an ice rink, but we have no skates?" I laughed gesturing to the large icy lake.

Andrew's eyes sparkled as he held up two pairs of ice skates, "What do you mean no skates?" he taunted.

"You didn't." I smiled, Andrew knew the only think I hated about summer was the way that is usually wasn't cold enough to go ice skating. Apparently tonight was an exception. He nodded and pulled me into the ice. At first my feet were unsteady but soon they became accustomed to floating around the frozen circle.

After about an hour of skating light started to shine though the dead tree branches, "Oh god." I muttered.

"What?" Andrew stopped skating and turned to me.

"My parents are going to be awake soon!" I rushed and pulled off my skated, picked up my shoes in one hand, and started running away from the small pond, only stopping to turn and wave one last time to Andrew.

"Goodbye Melody." He called out.
