I woke up the next day poorly rested. Our daily activity was a swim race so I pulled on my bathing suit and headed over to the lake. West and our teams were waiting on the shore of the lake. All the other girls were wearing swim suits except for West. "Aren't you gonna go swimming?' I asked her, gesturing to the lake.

"Nope, I'll tell you why later." West crossed her arms over her chest.

"Yeah, like there's a reason behind this." Lexi mocked behind us.

"That reminds me, when is the whole beetle juice thing going to play out?" I turned and whispered to West.

"Lunch time, we have kitchen duty today, remember." West replied.

"Yeah, at least this time it's going to be fun."

"Fun indeed." West smiled wickedly.

"What are you two talking about?" Andi intruded.

"Um...our suckish partners?" I offered. I wasn't really experienced with telling lies as much as West.

"Well my partner isn't suckish." Eliza joined in our conversation.

"Same here, he's actually quite nice, and British, and smart, and funny, and amazing in every way." Andi smiled dreamily.

"Well my partner's a self absorbed jock." West snapped.

"My partner, Andrew, is amazing as well." Lexi said, ignoring West's hard glare, "I think we might go out sometime. He seems really into me." Lexi said in a high pitched voice.

"That's not quite possible." I stared at Lexi.

"Why?" she asked, innocently twisting her hair.

"Because I'm Andrew's girl friend." I growled. Before I could say anything else a loud whistle blew. After the swim race ended we changed and headed to the cafeteria. Every Wednesday West and I had to prepare lunch and every day Lexi drank a non-fat protein shake that she made the camp store especially for her. I don't know why they hadn't kicked her out yet.

"Get my shake." Lexi demanded as she walked though the food line.

"I'll make it." West smiled and headed to the back.

"No." Lexi said sternly. West turned, surprised, "I want Melody to make it.

"Okay." I shrugged.

"I put the mix under the stove and in the top bowl." West smirked.

I smiled back to her as Lexi demanded, "Hurry up!"I walked to the back and found the bag of bugs exactly where West said they would be, under the ceramic stove and into he3 first silver metal bowl. I got out the insects and poured a few into the blender. Then I poured the normal milk and protein mix and switched on the blender. A whirring noise filled the room as I grounded the bugs and chocolate flavored milk together. Then I stopped it and poured the soupy mixture into a cup. Just to be nice I sprinkled a layer of bugs down before filling the cup completely. I skipped out of the kitchen and handed the plastic sup to an annoyed Lexi.

"What took you so long?" she snapped, grabbing the cup from me and gulping down half of the drink.

"Oh nothing." I smiled sweetly as she finished her shake. As the chocolate milk drained out of the cup a small bug was left at the bottom.

When Lexi noticed what was sitting at the bottom of her plastic cup her face changed from a smile into a look of disgust. She threw the cup across the room and yelled, "What the hell was that?"

"What was what?" West asked, stepping forward.

"That bug in my drink." Lexi said, intensifying the words bug and drink.

"It would have been really ironic if that happened, have you ever seen the movie Beetle Juice?" West spoke like an innocent child.

"I know you two did this." Lexi growled. "Katherine, get over here." The camp manager, also known as the peppy girl from the bus, ran to Lexi.

"What's the problem now?" she gasped.

"These two girls were talking about Beetle Juice yesterday and then they put bugs in my juice today to make fun of it." Lexi stomped like an annoyed child.

"We didn't do anything." I frowned and winked at Lexi when Katharine wasn't looking.

"Do you really know they did this?' Katharine turned to Lexi.

"Yes!" Lexi exclaimed, "She just winked at me!"

Katharine rolled her eyes, "Really Lexi. Melody wouldn't do something like this. I need you to just calm down. I think you might be imagining things."

"I-i-imagining?" Lexi looked confused, then her glare hardened, "Mark my world Melody, I will make you pay someday, mark my word."

"Aw, does someone need a hug?" I asked.

"No." Lexi growled, but I stilled hugged her and skipped over to West.
