West and I sat on the bottom bunk of the bed, "What do you think we should do for Tuesday?" I sighed.

"I don't know. I came up with the dye. It's your turn now." West laid back and closed her eyes.

"Well every morning Lexi takes so long in the bathroom applying her 'facial scrub'. What would happen if we made that a 'sugar-facial scrub'?" I suggested.

"That's brilliant!" West sat up and bounded toward Lexi's drawers.

"No use," I muttered, "She keeps them in her bag." I muttered as West rummaged through Lexi's drawers.

"Yeah, but we might find something we need for later." West smiled wickedly, holding up a leather bound book.

"Oh my gosh, what is that?" I ran across the room and stood next to West as she opened that book. The first page read, Property of Lexi. The second page was the real killer. It read, Lexi's diary.

"Oh. My. Gosh." West said, flipping through the pages.

"I think we should keep this for later." West smirked, "It would make a great good bye prank." I laughed as she stuffed the diary into Lexi's drawer under the same t-shirt where it had been before.

We dashed back to our bunk just as Andi and Oreo walked in. "What's up with Lexi today?" Andi frowned collapsing onto the bottom bunk of their bed.

"I think it had something to do with her bed." Oreo suggested, climbing up the ladder to her mattress.

"Yeah," West agreed, "Who do you think did it?"

"Seriously?" Andi asked, West nodded in reply. "I think it was you two."

"Same here." Oreo slipped into her camoflauge-sleeping bag, "Just because you conveniently had paint the same shade of black as her bed."

"Have you ever thought that maybe Lexi painted our bunks black to frame us for painting her bunk black?" West stated, getting on to her bunk.

"Yeah, she seems to be the type to do that." Oreo agreed.

"I know right." West leaned over the edge of her bed and winked at me. That night I slept a dreamless sleep until I was interrupted at three in the morning. West had climbed down from her bunk and was searching through Lexi's hot pink backpack.

"Well, come help me." She laughed, beckoning me towards her. "I took some extra sugar packets from dinner tonight, there in the top drawer." I nodded and headed over to West's drawers with a dim flashlight. There on top of her clothes I took the little white packets out and placed it on top of the counter. I was about to close the drawer, but saw something gleaming underneath a pair of black skinny jeans.

It was a plastic bag, professionally sealed. Inside there was a red liquid. It was thick and flowed around the plastic with ease.

"Come on!" West exclaimed. I shoved the bad back underneath her clothes. I scooped up the sugar packets and headed toward West. She reached for it with one hand and poured the packets into a silver bottle. West quickly screwed the bottle cap on and ran back into her bunk.

I followed her and laughed under my breath, "Won't she have a surprise in the morning."

"A double surprise." West added. At the moment I didn't understand what she was saying but I figured it out the next morning. West and I were hiking with our teams into the woods. Mosquitoes surrounded Lexi's face like bees to honey.

"What is up with these thing?" she exclaimed, swatting at the annoying bugs.

"I think they like you." West smirked. Lexi scowled and pulled out a bottle of bug spray. "Watch this." West whispered as Lexi finished covering herself with chemicals, or so I thought. The liquid coming out of the bottle smelled sweet.

"You didn't." I smiled evilly.

"The old sugar in the spray bottle trick," West said and then frowned, "It sounded better in my head." I laughed as Lexi's whole body became overcome by a swarm of bugs of all shapes and sizes.

"I think I just got an idea for our next prank." West said as we hiked in front of Lexi and down the path.

"What?" I pressed.

"Have you ever seen the movie Beetle Juice?"

"Yeah, why?" I asked, there were many pranks that could be related to Beetle Juice.

"What if we made real Beetle Juice, our treat to Lexi." West smiled.

"The question is, where are going to get the bug?"

"Your know to electric bug zapper Lexi set up out of our cabin?" West asked.

"Yeah." I affirmed.

"What is we use Lexi's bug spray on that? I bet it would attract a lot of friends." I smiled at West's malicious ideas. That night West and I stayed out on the porch rocking chairs. After we knew everyone else was asleep. West sprayed her water sugar compound around the lantern looking device. Like with Lexi, the bugs swarmed around the lantern. Except this time electronic zaps were sent out and small bugs dropped down to the hard wooden porch below them. West snickered and scooped them up into a plastic bag. A lot like the one filled with the red liquid in her drawer.

"I've been meaning to ask you, what is that red stuff in your drawer?" I asked, helping her pick up the bugs. Her eyes flickered to me and ten back to the floor.

"I don't know what you're talking about." She muttered.

"There is a packet of red liquid in your drawer. I saw it last night." I stated with conviction.

West looked me into the eye and growled, "You saw nothing."

I ducked my head down and stuttered, "Sorry."

"We're going to have to wait 'til tomorrow for our prank." West said, shoving the bugs in her pocket and heading in the cabin. I frowned and followed her. My usually peaceful sleep was interrupted by night mares of West and her mysterious red liquid. The only thing that I could think of it being was blood, and who would keep blood in their dresser? Nothing made sense.
