That night at dinner it was just me and my dad, as usual. We usually sat in silence and ate but today it was more talkative. He was a pretty awesome dad, he really accepted me even though I was "emo," unsocial, and for the most part nocternal. He was really into astronomy and rock bands like me. he really prefers green day, avenged sevenfold, nirvana, led zepplin, and the like. He even plays guitar as a hobby.

He really helps alot, whether it's homework or self harm or whatever the case. Instead of taking me to therapy when he found my scars, he took me to a theme park. Once, I was crying in my room and he just slid a piece of cake through the door. He's been there before and knows what would help and that you dont like talking about it.

"Did you meet the new neighbors yet?" He asked through the pie in his mouth.

"What?!" I was shocked, I was mostly creating a plan to meet my heros since the time I realized it was them. "Dad, did you meet them? Do you even know who they are?"

"Yeah, I came back from work and talked to them. Aparently, they grew up here. They're nice." He said eating more pie.

"Did you happen to, uh, get their names?" I asked still tense and shocked, I had no idea what my emotions were even doing.

"Yeah, I think they were..." he tried to think, "Alex and Jake or something. They were a couple I think."

"Alex and Jack." I corrected him without realizing the mistake I've made.

"What? How did you know that? And why are you so interested in the new neighbors?"

"Dad, those are two of my favorite people in the world, Alex and Jack from All Time Low." I didn't realize at this point I had stood up and leaned over him.

"You mean, those are the boys that would get naked and sing? They wrote that song, uhh.... therapy?" He asked confused. "But one of them had a boner shirt."

"Dad, I know, i went to their concert like a year ago, remember? Probably not, you were drunk most of the time. Did you mention they were a couple?"

"I thought they looked familiar, are they not gay?"

I wish I could answer that because I seriously had no idea. They did so much gay stuff together and admitted it for the fans and but never clarified they were straight. "I... I don't know" I remember all the fanfiction and tried pressing it back into my brain because, that's weird. "Dad, don't speak to them about me or that I'm a fan of them or anything please, they'll get scared."

"Okay, whatever, I probably won't talk to them unless they're outside anyway."

"Don't even mention the fact that they're in a band, sometimes it feels good for performers to not be recognized and mobbed."

"Okay, you should talk to them though, nice boys." he finished his pie and started cleaning up.
