A few days had gone by and I relived meeting my heros a million times in my head. It just made me smile brighter than I've ever had in my life. I wanted to know what they thought of me more than anything.
I was walking home one day when Jack was outside getting out of a car carrying bags and I smiled and waved, and he did back. "Hope, right?" he asked, closing the door with a hip bump. He remembered my name. I can't believe it, he remembered my name.
"Yeah, Alex right?" I asked purposely and stoped at the bottom of the cement driveway.
"It's Jack actually," he looked a little offended. "Alex isn't here right now."
"I'm so sorry, I can remember names but if i have to match it to a face, it's a living hell. Hey do you need help with the groceries?" I asked walking up the driveway so he wouldn't say no. He looked relieved after I lied.
"There are some bags in the back, thanks." I went into the backseat to grab bags of scooby doo gummies and beers. This was deffinetly Jack Barakat.
I stepped inside the big house, it looked so expensive on the inside, even with what looked like 4 boxes unpacked. I set the bags on the island in the kitchen, "Thats a weird combination of food." I said.
"You just insulted every perfect friday night I've had." I laughed because I was nervous and it was pretty funny.
"Wow, how many boxes have you unpacked? You've been here for like, a week and there's nothing. Do you need help unpacking?"
"Well, it's pretty distracting, having things to do, you know?" He opened a beer and took a sip.
"Like what?" I asked, taking out the gummies and putting them in a pantry.
"Well, did you figure out why I look familiar yet?"
"I've been thinking about it since the last time I saw you guys, I feel like you guys are famous or something." I said taking beers to put them in the fridge. "But I'm probably just stupid and wrong."
"Hey, you can't have those, you're underage!" I was surprised by the change of the subject.
"Relax man! I'm just putting them in the fridge, and how did you know I was underage?"
"Because we see you walking too and from the bus stop everyday." I cannot believe he actually took acount of that, doesn't he have things to do like he said earlier. "And, you don't exactly look 21..."
"Okayyy? I thought you have things to do." I turned to face him as the conversation deepened.
"Oh right, that. You were right about how you knew me. Have you ever heard of All Time Low?"
"All Time Low- OH! OH MY GOD! How could I have been so stupid! I knew you were in a band, I love your music. I can't exactly keep up with members though, problem with faces... you know?" Yeah, I don't keep up with members, like I couldn't have just told him every fact about him right there, not that I actually made cakes on members birthdays or anything.
"Yeah, I understand. Don't be so down on yourself, we make music for the music, not to show our faces."
"Jack, who are you talking to?" Alex said from the front door. I guess I had left it open, oops.
"Remember Hope from the other day?" Jack yelled back.
"Oh yeah!" He walked into the kitchen. "Sup?" he asked jutting his head in my direction.
"She finally remembers where we're from." Jack filled him in.
"Oh really? What's it like living next to a band member?" He smiled.
"Well, I remembered you from somewhere! It's awesome now. Don't worry, I won't bring people here to stalk you, I don't exactly have friends to come by anyway..."
"She's going to help us unpack, Alex." Jack told him. They seemed to be having a conversation with their eyes and finally came to an agreement. "So, the living room?"
