~hoseok's pov~

i never thought i could feel someone else's pain until now. i felt horrible. if i can feel yoongi's pain, then his must be a million times worse. a doorbell rang.
i ran to the front door, embracing the short boy as soon as i saw him.

"it will be okay." i comforted him, and guided him into he house. we sat down at the table as i immediately started to make him hot dumplings.

"i don't even know how to feel. it happened so quickly." yoongi peeped out while rustling his dusty blonde hair.

"stay however long you need to. i'm sure they'll take you back once they realize they let such an amazing son away."

i felt so sorry for him. i've never seen this type of pain in his eyes before, it was odd. "i doubt that they'll even come to my graduation." he said as i handed him the dumplings.

"yoongi, i know for a fact that your mother couldn't bring herself to not come. even if they don't come, my parents will be there to support you." i smiled, placing a hand on his shoulder. he grinned and gave me a small kiss on the cheek.

"you're all i could ever ask for. thank you, hoseok." he rested his small head on my shoulder and lightly rocked me side to side.
---

hours bled into days, and yoongi finally decided to call his mother. calling his father would be too dangerous. we sat on the floor of my bedroom, and he held my hand tightly as he anticipated for her to pick up.

"eomma?" he asked, smiling at the fact that she at least picked up.

"yoongi! i miss your voice so much, jagiya. i'm so sorry your father has scared you away." his mother sounded relieved to finally speak to her son, it warmed my heart.

"i miss you so much, eomma. i–i just wanted to know if you're coming to my graduation. it's pretty important that i know."

"of course! even if your father won't come, i'll be there. he's stubborn, but he'll pull through. don't worry, yoongi-pie." what a cute nickname!

"thank you. i must get going, it was nice talking to you. hopefully i see you soon." he hung up, and smiled with the gummy smile i knew and loved.

"i told you!" i said, hooking my hands on his shoulders and bringing him into an embrace. "it will all be okay, i promise."

SUCH A FLUFFY CHAPTER WOW but i feel like i'm going to end this at chapter 30–ish, but don't worry i'll have plenty of other things planned after that !! :)
