“I'a be home soon aight?”
“Yea.” I sighed.
“Keira don't be like this please. Ya know if I could get outta it I would so please not taday with that sulking attitude.”
“Ok August. I’ll see you when you get back.”
“Yea babe. I love you.”
“I love you too.”
Ending my call, I tossed the phone to the side of me and laid back. August was out in Vegas so it was just me and our daughter.
“Get up Keira.” I coached myself.
Waking up this morning was a task because I woke up in one of my gloomy moods. To make things worse, so did YaYa and all she wanted was her father.
“Two more days.” I whispered and smiled a bit, looking at my wedding dress in the closet.
“Momma?”
“Hey princess.” I lifted her.
“Daddy please.”
“Sure love.”
Walking back to my bed as she laid her head on my shoulder, I sat and face timed him.
“Yes Keira.” He answered in this tone.
“Daddy.”
“Princess.” He perked up.
“Really?” I stared at him.
“I'm sorry ma.”
“Whatever. Talk to your daughter.”
“Keira!”
Placing YaYa on the bed, I got up and went to the bathroom. I hated when he made me feel like I was nagging him and he knows this.
After using it, doing my hygiene, I cleaned up and came back out to YaYa sleeping. Walking past our bed, I heard him call me.
“I didn't know you were still there.”
“I ain't think ya would have stayed so long in tha bathroom. What’s going on with you?”
“Nothing babe.”
“Don't tell me nothing. Our daughter is three and she told me what's wrong with ha, which I suggest ya monitor because ya know what happened tha last time she was in that mood.”
