"I'm gonna catch you!!!"

YaYa and I were out in tha back yard playing. Our water guns were loaded as we chased each other around.

"Whea ya at princess?" I laughed knowing whea she was.

"HA!!!" She jumped out from behind tha plants and began ta spray me.

"I'a get ya back!" I took off behind ha.

As she ran, she looked back at me with a huge smile on and missed ha step causing ha ta fall and roll a bit.

"You ok princess?" I dropped ma gun and went to ha.

"I fine daddy." She smiled at me.

Looking at ha leg, she had gotten cut and shit was bleeding but she wasn't crying.

Removing ma shirt, I cleaned it before putting some light pressure on it then lifted ha.

"I think that's enough for today." I kissed ha on ha temple.

"No daddy, I wanna play still." She pouted.

"But you got hurt princess."

"It no hurt daddy."

"Ya sure?" I looked ha in ha eyes.

"Uh huh." She nodded.

The cut was a bit bad but I guess she wasn't in pain so we continued.

Soon as I put ha down, she sprayed me with water and ran off ta by ha lah playground set.

"Not by tha pool mama!" I chased ha.

"Ok!!" She yelled.

I decided ta hide when she didn't look back because I knew she would come looking fa me.

"Daddy?" She called as I expected.

I heard ha lah breathing as she came closer and I jumped up causing ha ta scream out.

"Damn YaYa!" I laughed and so did she.

"I hungry." She said after she stopped laughing.

"Aight let's pack up first and then we'a go see what ya momma cooked."

Nodding ha head, she ran off and began getting ha stuff we had out. It was no secret that I loved this little girl and with today being Mel's death anniversary, like last year, her and Keira been helping me through it.

"Daddy paint?" She asked as we walked back ta tha house.

"We'a do it after we make our lanterns ok?"

"Ok." She agreed.

Since I did that with Keira, we kept it as a tradition. Now that Kenya was a lah older, I told ha what taday was and what we was gonna do.

"Y'all finish in time." Keira laughed.

"Momma look."

"Awe my princess got a cut." She lifted ha.

"Yup but it no hurt me."

"Because Princess YaYa is strong." Keira smiled before kissing all over ha.

"Yup like daddy."

"That's right princess."

"Boy if you don't" Keira laughed.
