"I'll gladly get another black eye if it means that I stood up for us."

Vik's hands clench the steering wheel a bit harder as he drives back to the apartment.
"He could've really hurt you Josh."
"I know baby girl. As I said though, I'd do it again."
"You're so lucky that Ethan is a god damn tank."
"Well I'll thank him once we get back. He's free to eat whatever ice cream we have in the freezer."
He giggles and reaches one hand out to me. I grab it and lace our fingers together, resting them on the center console.
"Love you baby girl."
"Love you too Joshy."
