Hello everyone, this is the first official roleplay I'm running here on Wattpad. Now, before you dive in deeper, I've come to warn you: I have a preference for roleplayers who can write with beautiful detail. Please be aware of that before reading further.
Now that we have a handle on that, I'd like to introduce you to our three rival clans and the initial plot for this roleplay.
A lot of warrior roleplays have no real starting point besides making an OC clan filled with OC's! Which is absolutely fine, except it gets boring after the first few hours as you realize there is no goal. You're not here to fulfill a prophecy, or defeat a band of rogues, you're just there. Eating a bird. On the edge of a cliff. Or in the woods. Wherever.
Not here! I have plans. Before we get into that, first, the initial introduction to each of our clans! Each one will have a form page dedicated to it with even more depth, but this might help in your decision of which to chose. Also note that I have no country in mind for this to take place, imagine it on some made up island that's large enough to be its own continent (like Australia) that's loosely based off other places. We'll call it Atlantic Island for future reference. There are not many twolegs, but there ARE twolegs. Okay, lets go:
SEQUOIACLAN
A Clan made up of mostly brown, black and blue cats, cats that can blend in well with the surroundings of a shady forest. This is no ordinary forest, however: this is made up of trees big enough to fit multiple twolegs inside if it's hollow (look up sequoia trees if you have no idea what they are, they're huge and are found exclusively in Northern California). This Clan's camp is located in a ring of sequoias in the heart of their territory, and each den is inside the hallow roots that bubble up from the ground or a gaping hole in the trunk of the tree hallow enough to fit many cats inside. These cats are the biggest and strongest of the Clans here.
DAWNCLAN
The cats of DawnClan are eerily bright and cheery. Their camp is in a meadow of lush green grass and blossoms, where the sun is almost always shining. Their dens are burrows under ground, except the leader's den, which is inside a small hole in the Lone Tree (the only tree in the meadow) which the leader has to climb up to. It's said the first leader of DawnClan killed a kit eating owl and used its nest inside of Lone Tree as his den to show the strength of his new Clan and leadership. Their favorite saying is: "new dawn, new day, new life!", an optimistic saying that means everyday is a new day full of new opportunities. Queens can often be found saying this to their young, and instead of calling a new warriors or apprentices name, they'll say that, as well. For example, "Examplepaw! Examplepaw! New dawn, new day, new life! New dawn, new day, new life! New dawn, new day, new life!" They're the friendliest of the clans and most likely to except rogues or former kittypets into their ranks. They do have forests in their territory that surrounds their little meadow. These cats are usually red, cream, or lilac (this is a breeder term for the color, look it up if you want, it's very beautiful).
There is also going to be a rogue movement starting within the ranks of DawnClan. They are vying to rid the forest of the cats as they have vanquished all the rogues that once lived peacefully in the forest and banished them to the dirty, smelly streets of twoleg place (the city). Their plan is to become apart of the clan and then take it over from the inside out, and go on from there.
NIGHTCLAN
Traditionally, clans that glorify the darkness and the night are seen as despicable, horrendous cats that embody and worship disharmony and discord. However, the cats of NightClan wish for nothing more than sweet isolation, aside from the monthly gatherings. They are quiet souls and the least inviting, but they are fiercely loyal to those they care about and are the least likely of the Clan's to be dishonest, misleading or traitorous. This Clan is the newest of the three. Three years prior, it was formed by a band of rogues who wished to live a peaceful, self-reliant life like the clan cats. They went by the name Night Crawlers and stuck to the alleyways of the city, before they moved their territory to the western borders of SequoiaClan and DawnClan. It's a dark forest that lets in little light with a small farm on the very end of their territory. They sometimes hunt the chickens and ducks there, so the pesky farmer has been setting up traps and sometimes gets away with a few warriors or clumsy apprentices who've not returned...Their camp is inside a cave, each den a small cave that forms off the main opening. NightClan cats, having experienced two or three different lives (as rogues and kittypets and then warriors), they are the wisest of the Clans. They are usually black, gray and blue to help blend into their typically shady forest surroundings.
All the Clans can be found in a valley on Atlantic Island, half an hour away from the only large city. The clan cats communicate through StarClan using the moonledge, which is located on a ledge on the mountain in SequoiaClan territory. All medicine cats from all Clans are permitted entry. The gatherings take place at Lightning Tree, a tree that is struck three times to symbolize the three Clans, on the night of the gathering. The tree is dead and barren always, but the clan leaders sit in it's still sturdy branches. It is in neutral land in the mountains closest to SequoiaClan and NightClan.
