Chapter Five
"Luce!!!" Kate screamed into my ears as she jumped onto me from behind, causing me to stumble. But I quickly caught my balance.
"Hey! I could've fallen!" I scowled.
"But you didn't~" she stated, annoying me on purpose. She got off of me and walked by my side.
"You didn't have to jump on me when I first reached school." I frowned at her. I know she missed me, but seriously, I could've gotten hurt.
"You missed four days of school! I missed you!" Kate exclaimed as she gave me a big hug, squeezing me to death, literally.
"Let... Me... Go...!" I struggled to get out of her grasp. Despite her petite body, she was rather strong. That was another thing we had in common. We were both pretty strong, even if we didn't look like it.
"You were supposed to come yesterday, why didn't you?" she questioned, releasing me from her tight embrace.
"Uh..." I know she was going to ask this eventually, but I still wasn't sure on how to tell her about yesterday. Sighing, I said, "It's a long story." I know it wasn't really a long story, but I exaggerate a lot.
"And I have all day to listen." she stated confidently. "Well, not exactly all day, but... You get what I mean." She smiled sheepishly.
I laughed nervously. "Yeah, I guess."
"Well, come on. Tell me already!" she whined, eyes shining with curiosity and excitement. That is just how childish she could be.
I told her everything that happened, hesitating wether or not I should tell her about the part where I cried in Kris's arms, but I told her anyway.
When I was done, she squealed like an excited little girl, clapping her hands together.
"Aww~!!!" she continued her squealing, irritating me. I shot her an annoyed look, which she totally ignored. "Oh my God! Oh my God! OH MY GOD!!! He likes you!" Kate spoke really fast, jumping up and down, bursting with excitement. "I knew it! He totally likes you!"
"Kate," I said, tauntingly. "Stop it!" I looked around, some other students were already looking at us, Kate was being too loud.
I guess she noticed too, because she apologized after that. "Sorry... Hehe... But really though, I really think he likes you!"
"I-Impossible." I said. "The guy who has always bullied me actually likes me? No way."
"He bullies you 'cause he likes you. From the movies I've watched, when they boy bullies the girl, it's usually because he likes her!" She was squealing again. Typical fangirl. And when she said movies, she meant Korean drama.
