Chapter Six
~Delos's POV~
I met up with my friends before school. We always go together. Our houses weren't that far anyway, and it's always much more fun to walk in groups.
"Hey," Prinz greeted me when he saw me. He has been my best friend ever since kindergarten. Yes, it has been that long. And we were really close too. So close, we were basically brothers.
"Yo," I greeted him back, flashing him a grin.
"Hey, dude." Jack, another friend of mine greeted me and we did a series of complicated handshake that we created ourselves.
I smirked at the rest of my group of friends and started walking with them following me.
I grinned to myself, then turned to Prinz. "Do you think she'll be at school today?" I whispered so only he could hear. And by she, I meant Lucianna, the prefect.
"I'm not sure. She hasn't been to school for the past few days." Prinz replied, looking at me with a knowing smirk.
I hate to admit it, but for some reason, I was kind of worried. Why hasn't she been to school? Was she trying to avoid me? Maybe I teased her too much? Or did something happen?
I pushed all the thoughts away, and smirked lightly back at my best friend. "Her best friend is though." I said, referring to Katrina.
I chuckled lightly when I saw the light blush on Prinz's cheeks as he looked down.
Prinz has had a crush on this Katrina girl ever since he saw her, I guess. He didn't tell me straight away, but he did tell me in the end. I still remembered how it happened, and that was also how I came to know this Lucianna girl.
-Flashback-
"Do you know this girl named Katrina?" Prinz asked that day as we were sitting on a table in the cafeteria during recess.
I cocked an eyebrow as I turned to face him and saw that he was looking down, as if the floor interested him. But I noticed the light blush that tinted his cheeks, and I smirked. I didn't know who that girl was but I was about to find out.
"No, who is she?" I asked him. Prinz didn't really pay much attention to girls but if she caught his eyes, there must be something special about her.
"She's...uh..." He hesitated a bit before continuing. "She's a p-prefect."
"A prefect?" I frowned softly and my forehead creased.
I never really liked prefects, I just found some of them annoying. I wasn't saying all of them were -because I have a few friends who were prefects- but most of them were annoying. They just tell you what to do and you have to do it or you'll be in trouble with the discipline teacher. It was just really irritating. I could do whatever I wanted to, why did I have to listen to some petty prefects who were mostly even younger than I was?
