Teddy
Even though I had been at school for six years, I wasn't prepared for the everlasting mountains of homework that our year was being set every night. I was just sitting on the hufflepuff table at breakfast, dark circles under my eyes and my Care Of Magical Creatures textbook propped open against the juice jug. I was just reading Page 41: Jarvey, when I felt a thud on my back and twisted around to see a long head of silver hair looking at me with big blue eyes. "The next Hogsmeade weekend is on Saturday!" she exclaimed, pulling me away from my cereal and to the notice board. All of the seventh and fifth years were very excited about this because we were usually so busy with our O.W.L's and N.E.W.T's. The first lesson I had that day was transfiguration: we were doing human transfiguration. A boy in the class was still trying to pat out a flame in his hair by the time we were let out.
At lunch, me and Victoire were sat by the lake. I was leant against a tree and she was laying on my outstretched legs, a charms textbook held above her to shield the beaming sun. The trees were casting monster-like shadows on the glassy surface of the lake. "Test me!" Victorie said as she sat up suddenly.
"Ok", I said, flipping through the textbook, "What is needed when casting a non-verbal spell?"
"Concentration and mental-discipline." She recited almost robotically.
"Correct!" We tested each other until the bell that signalled afternoon classes. We gathered up our stuff and she planted a light kiss on my cheek before heading to north tower for Astronomy. The days dragged by until it was finally the day before the Hogsmeade weekend.
