On Saturday Morning, I pulled on my robes as a bitter wind now rapped the windows, grabbed my permission slip and went down to the great hall for breakfast. I put a stack of toast in my hands and lined up in the entrance hall. Teddy came up to me as we left for the village, pulling up his Hufflepuff scarf past his mouth. First we went into Honeydukes sweet shop and there was everything from large slabs of caramel filled chocolate to delicately spun sugar quills. I bought a bag of toffees with lavender wrappers and stepped out of the shop that was now bursting with Hogwarts students. 

 "Fancy a butterbeer?" Teddy offered, his voice slightly muffled. As we neared the three broomsticks however, a curvy woman with tightly curled hair came out of pub, brandishing a cloth at a group of laughing first years. "Don't even think about coming in here again!" she screeched, "broken glass everywhere!" I looked closer into the crowd and saw James with a bag of Zonko's no-heat fireworks and sighed. The smile quickly faded from his face as he saw us and backed into the street. I looked over at Teddy to tell them off but was surprised to see him smirking. "You're head boy!"

"Wha- oh, yeah." He half-heartedly told them off and crossed into the pub to have a look at the aftermath. I heard the tinkling of the bell as I walked in to see a mess of shards of glass and frothing butterbeer behind the counter. Madam Rosmerta looked at us exasperatedly so I went over to help. A group of Ravenclaws came in and she glared at them, as if daring them to order.   

James and his friends avoided me at the Gryffindor table at dinner. I was sat next to Lucy Weasley but we were both too full of Honeydukes sweets to eat the steak and kidney pie in front of us. I was just reading up on ancient witch-burnings for my history of magic essay when Professor Mcgonagall strode over to James and gave him a very strict lecture, during which she deducted 50 points from Gryffindor. "Thanks a lot! Now she's making me clean bedpans in the Hospital Wing!"
