Rose

The word had quickly spread about Teddy and Victoire. Although everyone already knew that they were dating and just too shy to tell anybody. "Weasley's daughter! And the auror's son?" Victoire blushed profoundly whenever asked about it and I caught her in the common room one Sunday afternoon trying to revise whilst surrounded with a gaggle of sixth year girls. They were all giggling and sipping on butter beers stolen from the kitchens by James. When they had cleared, I sat down on the comfy armchair next to her.

Seeing her with Teddy over the Christmas Holidays made me realise how much I wanted a relationship with Scorpius. I was sure he felt the same way. "How are you?" She asked, crossing out something on her parchment with a scratch of her quill.
"Fine! Good, actually. Just boys I guess."
"Who is it?" She asked a little too loudly, turning swiftly and blotting ink on her essay. "Shh! Well... I just see you and Teddy together and..." I hugged an embroidered cushion close to my chest as I spoke. "So, describe your perfect boy," she told me, with the face of hearing gossip at a sleepover.
"Well, quite smart and interesting I guess. Funny but not too full of himself?...kind." I answered. Victoire was grinning. She let out an exasperated sigh, "just go and tell him!" She laughed, "It's that Scorpius kid isn't it?"
"I didn't think it was that obvious" I mumbled. I sounded defensive. I played with the tassels on the cushion to distract myself. "You think, I should...tell him?"
"Sure!"
"But what if he says no?"
"He won't."
"How do you know?"
"You love him right? That's a good enough reason to tell someone."
I looked up at the word 'love'. Victoire was right. I was in love with Scorpius Malfoy.
