Revenge Pt.2

It was night time I stayed late after school to finish my english essay. I put everything in my locker and grabbed my jacket and left. Oh great it's raining and I don't have an umbrella. I ran home wanting to get out of the rain as soon as possible. Then I heard a yell, it sounded familiar. I stopped running, I heard it again.

I ran to where I thought it was coming from. Then I saw two people one was a ccg agent the other I'm sure was a ghoul. He was wearing a blue hoodie. Wait is that Kaneki? My eyes adjusted to the light. It is, I stood there wondering what was happening.

The ccg agent charged at him ready to attack, Kaneki stood there with his arms open. I closed my eyes as the blow connected and sent him flying. I opened my eyes again to see Kaneki lying on the ground. I ran over to him and kneeled beside him. I hugged him a single tear fell from my eye. The ccg agent approached us.

"Move" he told me in a threatening tone. I didn't even flinch, I could leave him here.

"No." I told him quietly.

"Why do you even care about him?" He pointed at Kaneki with his quinque.

"He's nothing but a filthy ghoul, he doesn't deserve to exist." He yelled, his voice filled with hatred.

"Stop!" I yelled, I turned to face him. My eyes only spoke sadness.

"I don't care if he is a ghoul, I care because he is my friend. Just leave him alone!" I felt Kaneki put his hand on my knee, he looked up at me.

"Run Akemi." I saw his eye change. I hugged him tighter before running to a safe location nearby. I'm not leaving you here. I watched as the ccg agent and Kaneki fought. It looked as if Kaneki was holding back. I saw the ccg agent run away.

I looked back at Kaneki, he was losing control of his kagune. I ran down the hill towards him. He quickly turned around to see me hugging him.

"Please come back Kaneki, this isn't you." I cried on his shoulder as his kagune retracted.
