Prompt: Imagine your OTP as a couple, watching the setting sun while holding hands, only for both of the to crack up into laughing and blushes when they realize much of a cliché the situation is.
-
Sitting on a grassy patched hill on the Florida beach, Dean and Kaitlyn sat beside one another.
They had spent their entire day here with their friends, playing a game of volleyball and swimming in the ocean. The rest of them left awhile ago, leaving the couple alone.
Kaitlyn rested her head on Dean's shoulder, smiling happily to herself as she enjoyed this moment. Looking down at her, Dean noticed her contentment, placing a kiss on the crown of her head as a small smile spread across his lips.
They both sat there enjoying one another's company as they watched the sun set over the sea.
The feeling of contentment was broken for Kaitlyn when she felt Dean's body shake with laughter. Lifting her head up she looked at him in question, raising a brow. "Are you okay?"
Dean looked at her, an amused smile on his face as he tried to calm the laughing tremors. "Fine, I'm just fine."
She gave him a look before placing her head back on his shoulder, only for him to continue to shake with laughter. "Dean.", Kaitlyn said sternly. "What is wrong with you?"
"Have you not realised?", he asked.
Kaitlyn shook her head, shrugging her shoulders in questioning, signalling for him to explain.
"It's a sunset, and were holding hands.", Dean explained, nodding down to their hands, what were entwined together.
It took Kaitlyn awhile to grasp what he was getting at, her confused expession soon changed into a smile before she looked down, letting out a small laugh.
"Who knew we were so cliché", Dean mused, letting out a small laugh.
Rubbing his thumb against the back of her hand, he looked at the girl next to him through his tinted aviators, lifting them up to rest on the top of his head. he watched as her cheeks flushed a light pink colour.
"Are you okay with it?", Kaitlyn asked, knowing that Dean wasn't all that into romantic type situations you'd find out right of the latest Nicholas Sparks novel.
Looking back down at his partner, Dean smiled. "I could live with this type of cliché.", he nodded.
Smiling up at him, Kaitlyn placed a kiss on his lips before laying her head back on his shoulder.
"Just don't expect me to kiss you in the rain, okay? That's too far."
