Imagine person A of your OTP finding out they're expecting. They try to think of all these adorably clever ways to let person B know but, when they try to drop the hint, it flies right over person B's head. Person A tries a few more times before basically giving up and coming right out about it.

This is some Kaitbrose cuteness to make up for the lack of them in the thing I posted yesterday.

Enjoy!

It was late afternoon, Dean was expected home for the rest of the week.

Kaitlyn sat on the couch, staring blankly up at the clock on the wall as she watch the seconds pass which turned into minutes.

Why was he taking so long?

Letting out a groan she ran her hand through her hair, standing up from the couch and started pacing around the living room.

She had fount something out today, something big and surprising.

Kaitlyn was pregnant.

For the past few weeks she hadn't been feeling well, Dean sensed that maybe something was wrong and that she should see the doctor. Ignoring him, she said she would be fine, only to become worse. Dean then demanded that she went to the doctor, plus seeing how he was on the road and wasn't there to look after her, he didn't want nothing bad happening to his wife.

So she did as he said, went to the doctor. Today it was confirmed that she was expecting a baby, which was also the cause for her feeling unwell; morning sickness, just that Kaitlyn had a worse case of it.

And that brings us up to now, Kaitlyn waiting for Dean to return from off the road.

She had thought of many ways to drop the hints that the newly wedded couple would be expecting their first child soon, knowing that he would soon catch on.

Hearing the sound of keys and the door opening, Kaitlyn's pacing came to a halt, a smile spreading on her lips.

"Kait?", she heard his voice call out as his footsteps got closer, appearing in the doorway smiling at her.

"Dean!", Kaitlyn grinned as she ran towards him, jumping as he caught her in his arms, smiling up at her. Resting her hands on the back of his neck she leaned down and placed on a longing kiss on his lips.

"I've missed you so much.", he mumbled against her lips.

"I've missed you too.", she smiled resting her forehead against his. "You hungry?", Kaitlyn asked as she left his arms and headed for the kitchen.

"Starving.", Dean replied as he followed Kaitlyn, leaning against the counter as she rummaged through the pantry, seeing what they could have for dinner.

Whilst looking Kaitlyn came across the thing she was looking for, walking out with it.

Pasta and Prego pasta sauce.

"Prego.", Kaitlyn spoke.

Looking up from his phone, Dean had a confused expression on his face. "What?", he questioned. "Oh, spaghetti and sauce, yeah that sounds cool.", he nodded before looking back at his phone.

Kaitlyn looked at him dumbfoundedly, her eyes widening slightly at how he didn't catch on. Dean is normally quick witted, yet this had seemed to go straight over his head.

Tactic number two.

"Do you want bread rolls with that or something?", she asked.

"Sure."

"Could you get them and put them in the oven, I've already got one in my oven."

"What?", Dean looked at her with the same expression he had moments ago. "Oh, yeah, put the bread rolls in the oven to warm up. Right, got it."

How is he not catching on.

Kaitlyn's eye twitched as she stared at her husband who seemed to be absolutely clueless with these hints. Slamming the pan down on the counter she let out a frustrated grunt.

"Whoa, what's wrong?", Dean asked as he stood behind his wife, wrapping his arms around her waist as he leant his head on her shoulder.

"You.", she replied bluntly.

"What have I done?", Dean frowned. All he had done is come home and stand in the kitchen, yet she was mad at him for something.

If Kaitlyn was mad at him for breathing then that would be something new.

"You're not getting it.", Kaitlyn huffed as she turned around to face him.

"Getting what?", Dean's eyes widened, thinking that she meant that he wouldn't be 'getting any' of his wife at all for the few days he was home.

"I've dropped two hints and you're just not understanding, are you?"

Tilting his head, Dean stared at Kaitlyn confused. Looking at the counter he stated at the jar of pasta sauce and then at the oven. It was like a lightbulb had gone off in his mind, lighting up his face as a smile slowly crept on his lips, his dimples forming.

"Are you?", Dean asked.

"Am I what?"

"Pregnant."

A nod from Kaitlyn was all it took for Dean to pull her in for a kiss, taking her by surprise and leaving her breathless when he pulled away.

"This is why you don't ever win at Cluedo.", Kaitlyn smirked as Dean rolled his eyes.
