Part 22 - Boracay Escapade (Bar)

Richard took another shot of the whiskey. It's his third.

'mind if I join you?' the woman in a super short shorts asked

'no thanks miss, I'm with someone' and that is his nth time saying that to the women who wanted to join him. But the woman sat in front of him, nevertheless.

I guess it's time to go. Ayoko ng may nangungulit sa akin.

He asked for his bill, paid it and went out. Leaving the woman without looking back.

He walked by the shoreline. He can't help but smile and shake his head whenever he sees couple doing PDA.

If Me-....if she is here we won't be doing that. Ayaw nya ng PDA-PDA na yan. But she is the exact opposite when we're alone. He sighed...

He continued walking, the people thinned as he got farther. Not far from where he is standing is a big boulder that isolates the other side of the island. You can cross it by the shore during low tide just like tonight but there is another route that would bring you there but you will go through a forested area.

A couple emerge from the other side. They walked hand in hand. Sinundan nya ito ng tingin. They stopped on a torched-lit area. They kissed and the guy left again back to where they came from. His eyes returned to the woman who is now walking towards where the establishments are. He followed suit.

He went inside one of the bars he hasn't been in earlier and chose the farthest corner at the back of the bar. Umiiwas na may lumapit na naman sa kanya. He has been bar hopping since 8:00 in the evening and it's already...he looked at his watch, 11:00. He ordered a drink.

Hopia ka Rj. Matulog ka na.

He wanted to lose hope. He was hoping he would see her, the woman in the pool. He smiled recalling what happened earlier.

He woke up at 4pm still with a headache and a grumbling stomach. He decided to eat out so he could stretch his stiffed muscles. He wore his clothes again since this trip is unplanned and he has not brought anything with him. He browsed the stores in the island and bought a shirt, shorts, underwear and flipflops. oh and mint candies.

He read the text messages he received

Jerald -
Papi, I'm back!!! asan ka ba? I have a business proposition for you. Call me ASAP.

Sam -
Paps, you better get back by d weekend. A welcum party wl be hosted by Habitat. It's a joint venture by an intl foundation n Habitat. ur construction firm wl be involved. Big prjct.

Party? what party? I don't wanna go to any party. Just represent me.

Then tell that to your father. Umuwi ka na. btw, hinahanap ka ng girlfriend mo!
I'll talk to him, busy pa ako sa client ko. And Sam WALA akong gf!!

client? bakit duda ako. Ok cnbi mo eh. Enjoy ka Papi! 😁

He rolled his eyes. Bakit ba ako nagkaroon ng mga kaibigang sira-ulo. He smiled.

One message left and it was from Mela

When will I see you Richard?

He didn't reply to Mela's text. He sighed and pocketed his phone. He doesn't want to think about what happened last night.

It was around 5pm when he decided to stroll the island and later went back to his hotel room to take a shower and change clothes. By 5:30 he's back at the sands again checking the place for future business venture.
