Bell ringing....

Richard -

History subject. Last class. Everybody in the class stands when they heard the bell ring.

'Dont forget tomorrow will be a graded recitation. Be prepared! class dismissed! ' Ms. Cassy announced before her Grade 11 students scamper out the door.

Except for Richard who remain seated tapping his pen. Kanina pa siya batong-bato sa subject nila but he didn't get up immediately. He waited for everyone to get out of the room.

Ms. Cassy is a terror teacher in their History class. She is a slight OCD type teacher (Obsessive-Cumpulsive Disorder). She wants to see her students to look perfect. Everyday she would be waiting by the classroom door. Anything amiss from your hair down to your shoes, you cannot enter her room. If you are not in her room by 2:30pm, you are out..that's how her students would describe her.

She would always say 'I am your teacher! This is my room! Once inside my classroom...I.. am the queen!'

Yeah, right...she is the queen, the queen of hearts in Alice in Wonderland who loves to say 'off with his/her head!'. Kaya everyone in class is always looking forward to hear the bell ring.

'Mr. Faulkerson, class is dismissed', seeing Richard still sitting

'Yes, Ms.' He stands up and drag himself out of the chair

He is the last student who got out of the room. He immediately run when he reached the door. He turned right at the end of the hallway and bam!

Maine -

Maine entered the hallway in a hurry...

'C'mon Meng...you can make it' saying to herself. She just finished her Oral Communications subject from the other building and she's on her way to her last subject, History. And Ms. Cassy, her History teacher is such a grouch. She doesn't tolerate late students in her class. Her History subject is 15minutes apart from her Oral Communications sub. And everyday it irritates the hell out of her why this school has so many buildings. She's always sweaty when she reach her last class. That's why she always stops in the ladies room first before going there. And now, she only have 4 minutes to spare to reach the classroom. One more floor, her classroom is on the 3rd floor. Yes! 3rd floor. Reaching the landing, she run sidestepping other students who are loitering down the hallway...I can make it. She turned left at the end of the hallway and bam!

'Ahh...' Maine shrieked and went down on her backside, her books flying all over the floor.

'Ugh! What the!?!' Richard fell facedown on something soft. He heard a female shriek.

'What the hell' sabay nilang sabi. Nagkatinginan sila. Then look around the students who have gathered around them to watch what the commotion is all about. May nagtatawanan, nagbubulungan. Their eyes went back to each other wondering why they are laughing.

Only then they realized that they are in a compromising position. Richard's face is on top of Maine's chest!

Nagmamadali silang tumayo.

'OH MY GOD!' sabay ulit nilang sabi...

Richard tried to help the girl but she avoids his hands murmuring something.
