Part 27 - Rendezvous

He woke up with a smile on his lips. Bright light peeking between the blinds. This time brightness didn't bother him. He reached for her. His hand touched the blanket. He opened his eyes. Her side of the bed is empty. He sat upright, she left him! After what happened last night? Pero bakit? May gumuhit sa kanyang puso. His mind whirled searching for the reasons why she would left him abruptly. Akala ko ba the feeling is mutual? akala ko we made a deal? Hindi man lang ako hinintay magising. Pero sino nga ba ang nasa tamang katinuan and would be proud sa isang 'one night stand'? Nasabunot nya ang magulo at nagtatayuan nyang buhok.

Then he heard it...the shower running. His eyes fell on the closed bathroom door. Naihilamos nya ang kamay nya sa mukha nya at nakahinga sya ng maluwag. Kinabahan sya. She's still here, thank God!

Inabot nya ang cellphone nya to check the time pero wala ito sa side table at naalala nya na pinaayos nya ito sa staff ng hotel. Napansin nya ang cellphone ni Charm sa kabilang table and reached across it at napadpad ang paningin nya sa gusot na kumot. There was a red stain on it. Dinampot nya ito. A stain. Wala naman syang kinain o ininom sa ibabaw ng kama or sila ni Charm. He touched it, it's still fresh. Nanlaki ang mata nya when he realizes what that means at napatingin sya sa pintuan ng banyo.

She's a virgin?!? And I popped her cherry?!?

Di nya malaman ang mararamdaman pero sa huli ay tuwa ang nanaig. She isn't just any girl kahit na ito ay isang banyaga at may boyfriend. At this day and age, you seldom meet and bed a virgin. But what does he know, sa edad nyang 25, isa rin syang virgin, until now. The closest encounter he had was with Meng and he didn't attempt to try it with others, wala syang interes.

Pero bakit ako and not her boyfriend? Is she not happy with him? Baka naman nag away sila and she's rebelling. Pero why single me out, why not that Dred guy or any other guy she met? There's only one way to find out, ask her.

He stood up not minding his nakedness and knocked on the door. No answer. He knocked again calling her name.

'Maine?'

He tried the door, it's not locked. Dahan dahan nyang binuksan ang pintuan at bumungad sa kanya ang hubad na katawan ni Charm sa gitna ng shower enclosure na hindi nito naisara. Steam has moistened the glass panels. What a sight to behold! She is standing under the shower head, water cascading on her glistening body, her head is raised up, her arms above her head.

'Maine' he called again pero mukhang hindi sya narinig nito. He took his time walking towards her. She turned around slowly at nanlaki ang mga mata nito ng makita sya. For a moment they stared at each other.

Matinis na sigaw ang pinakawalan nito. Di malaman kung paano tatakpan ang katawan. Natawa sya.

'what are you doing here? I'm taking a bath' she crossed her arms to cover her breasts with her arm and the other covered her sex.

'I can see that' he said smiling . He grabbed a towel and throw it to her. She covered herself.

'Seriously? I've seen it all' natatawa nyang sabi.

'I don't care!' bumaba ang tingin nito sa katawan nya and she gasped when she saw junjun ready for the flag ceremony. He smiled.

'Liked what you saw?' he asked naughtily

Bumaba ulit ang tingin nito kay junjun and she pursed her lips. He took a step forward. His intention to ask her the questions were all lost.

She took a step backward and raised her arm, the one covering her breasts, in front of her to stop him 'nononono!! get out! I need a moment...by myself'
