It might have been a whole month since then, making right now October, but the memories were still fresh. Levy had helped people calm down with Gray to make sure our class mates won't avoid Jellal, or me.
And the memories of us in the nurse's office weren't just a memory. But a feeling.
The tingly sensation I had built up from them followed me everywhere from when Natsu would smile or goof up. I had warmed up to him since then. The incident had proved me wrong about him. He must be decent if he held back, unlike me.
I had attacked someone.
I guess people really didn't care as to what they had heard from the apologies given out by my friends but it doesn't mean I don't. I could have murdered Jellal, even though that was impossible. If he even passed out, he still had no heart-beat. They would have thought of him as dead and blamed me...
I care about everyone I know now and I don't think I'm ready to let them go just yet.
"Earth to Lucy, if we are at a festival, you better make it last!" Levy said as she shook her hand in front of my face. It was just a week before Halloween and everyone was just everywhere with parties and festivals. We were at one in the centre of Hackney near a primary school.
The dark streets were lit with hand-made lanterns instead of street light and there were no vehicles in sight. Booming music could be heard from where the stage was and the street was bustling with families and teenagers. There were scents of different drinks and foods surrounded the dusty air and everyone had a grin.
There was a little movie thing planned on for the kids at the back and jacko-lanterns scattered around in the weirdest spots I could see. Natsu was right next to me after Levy went forth for Gray and Gajeel.
I bet Gray feels like a third wheel between them!
"I can see people from FTA but who are they?" Natsu asked as he moved my head in the direction of a group of girls.
They seemed young enough to be around our age and one of them had vibrant blue hair. Her think black glasses were surrounded by her curls and she was giggling at something her friends said. "I'm sorry that I'm transferring," I could hear her say.
"She's transferring? Is she going to Saberto--"
"Never say that school name near ours, got it?" I shot him a glare. "She wouldn't be that happy if she was going," I said as I looked in her direction. She was a plastic cup in her hand and the air around her seemed to glow.
"I can still help with your homework and everything, we can still talk!" The girl said hopefully. I looked at Natsu and held his hand. I began moving so we wouldn't be in ear shot any more.
"It was getting juicy!"
"I don't feel comfortable on eavedropping on a sentimental moment!" I stuck my tongue out at him. He rolled his eyes at me and we carried on walking. Well, he kind of dragged me, not noticing he was still grabbing onto my hands.
I wasn't planning any time on telling to let go, either.
"She does their homework? What?" Natsu asked suddenly. I breathed out slowly at the thought of him bringing our coversation back to her.
Why was he so obsessed with her?
"She said help, you moron. I'm going to watch their perfomance," I said, I let go of his hand as I walked forwards. That might have been a mistake.
It felt cold around me.
The people up on the stage were dancing to the music coming out of the speakers. This must have been what we were hearing from a while ago. They were great at dancing. I pushed passed people to try and get to the front. My ears may have been sensitive but my curiosity got the best of me.
There was a blond on the stage dancing at the front. He seemed to be the lead and was looking for someone in the crowd. His eyes fell on mine and he winced at me. I cringed at the sight, why? It felt disgusting that he would do that? Does he feel like he's Romeo? Might I remind him that Romeo actually fell for Juliet's looks first!
Through all the scent, I traced a scent back to him. It was somewhat of a tigerish smell and human. He seemed to be having fun and his blond hair was flickering in the light.
I felt a hand grab at mine and I ended up falling backwards in the direction of the back of the crowd. The hands grabbed onto my waist as I looked up in surprise.
It was Natsu.
He quickly let go of me as I steadied myself on my feet. It was kind of awkward but I was at least having fun looking at him.
"Why did you pull me away?" I asked him. His face seemed to show many different reactions at one. Many of the were surprise, maybe at making me fall or why he had pulled me in the first place. I could hear his heart-beat vaguely through the music.
It was really fast.
I really liked it, it was fast and it was like he was enjoying this moment. Something told me he was probably scared of saying something but I liked the idea he liked this situation.
"Uh...nothing! I heard Levy say she needed us, let's go!"
