I looked at the figure before me. My eyesight intensified after a blinking of the remaining tears. Blonde hair and a rough smile. He smirked from his previous line and I could hear Mr Macao outside taking the register to make sure everyone was there.
"Yes, I also know that your little clueless friend is a vampire, how many creatures does Fairy Tail Academy have?" He said. His canines flashed at me through his smile as it caressed his bottom lip.
"Ho--"
"I'm very observant, your friend was very shaky after the smell of blood hit him. When was the last time he drank?" He asked me. His left hand hit the wall on my right and to my left was a dead end.
"Breakfast, he's greedy, like every other damn vampire," I stated to him. If he knew that Jellal had been a vampire, what had made him think he could talk to me like he knew me?
"Rude much? When you talk to others, you're not like this. What makes me so different?" He asked me and leant in. His face was inched away from me and I switched from breathing through my mouth to my nose.
"Maybe because I don't know you, yeah, that's probably it." I said as I nodded slowly, making it look like I was being sarcastic. My insides were a mess.
Only from that I may or may not have been this close to a being before that wasn't my family and he was a typical stranger that new more about me than I know him.
It wasn't the same as someone else made me feel.
Just thinking that this hybrid could believe he could take advantage of my sight being dilated down to do this! That since it was a theatre, I wouldn't be able to shout for my friends and that everyone else would think we're just friends.
I think.
"Sting Eucliffe of Sabertooth High," He said. I didn't want to know his name, and I could tell he was from Sabertooth by his blazer. "We could be friends, I don't know any other people like you,"
That got me in the stomach.
How could he not know anyone else that wasn't human around his age? And that I was one of the first he met. A flash of blue hit my mind, maybe from sadness or memories. Yes, the blue I had saw was familiar to me. It reminded me of Juvia and the ocean. But it made me feel the same lonliness he felt.
He wasn't alone in this.
"Lucy Heartfilia of Fairy Tail Academy, as you already knew." I said. I slowly pushed him away and kept my right hand still at reach for him. He shook my hand gladly and the sadness was replaced with delight.
He must really be happy that he had someone to talk to. "Your boyfriend is there, I should probably go." Sting said. I looked out of the alcove and into the crowd. Natsu stood there, looking for someone, probably me.
"I don't have a boyfrie--" Sting wasn't near me, I couldn't feel any heat from my side anymore. If I was still on bad terms with him, I would have been relieved but now? I felt comforted by the feeling that I helped someone else.
I walked into the crowd of people and tried to look out of breath. It was pretty easy, pushing pass all the people to get to Natsu made my hair fo out of place and my lips parted for extra breath. He looked in my direction and grinned.
"You smell different, did that guy go near you?" He asked me. I looked at him, confused. I knew many male beings, like Jellal. I probably have his scent all over me from accidently using his body wash in the morning. "The blond,"
"Yeah, why?" I asked him. I could feel his heart-beats becoming faster and unsteady. He must have had a change of emotion. Was he relieved or angry?
"Why would you go with him? Tell me." He demanded.
That was new and different. He had never taken that tone with me since we started talking properly. Not since the accident on his first week.
I didn't like it.
Something about it made me want to demand something back at him. The was my heart-beat caught up to his at speed and he was waiting for an answer.
"We were just talking," I said to him. He looked even more pissed that a moment ago. The crowd had disappeared to their screening room, leaving the staff left inside. The entrance was empty and his words echoed in my mind.
"That would be all it take to take you, just to begin talking!" He yelled at me before turning to go to the exit. I watched him leave before scowling to walk to the line in my class. Natsu notified the teacher he had found me and went next to Gray.
'To take me?'
