"Zeref!" I yelled as I ran out of the tent like structure made of sticks. Many other werewolves were around doing their job. I could see my brother lazing around under a tree.

He motioned me to come sit down with him and I playfully leant my head against his. There was not much here to keep us warm and I could tell this was getting to him. But, he still loved me anyways.

"What did you want me for?" He placed his hand on my hair and smoothed it out. His hands were warm from his blood but I could feel when his pinky finger touched me, he was cold.

"I thought we could go for a walk! Mommy said I could as long as you'd take me! But...you seem not very well...I should stay here!" I put on a big grin. Even though I was disappointed that I couldn't venture the city outside of these trees.

I could see his face drain of colour at my words and his hands tightened around me. "I'll take you! Come on, here, it's the only blanket I found." He said as he wrapped it around me. I could see mommy holding my new baby sister as we walk out.

The blanket was fuzzy around me and I could feel Zeref shiver behind me. His hands were on my shoulder to guide. He was the only one of us that the humans believed was human and they would believe that I was human if I was with him, that's what mommy had said.

"We don't have any money, so we can't buy any nice things. But, we can look around." He said. Something pale fell onto my face and he laughed, using his thumb to brush it away. "It's called snow, we don't get much of it anymore in England, you should be happy." He explained to me.

I looked at the humans around, bundled up in their warm coats and scarves. It must have protected them from the cold. My clothes were too small for me, tight around areas I didn't like. Zeref's ones were too big for him and ripped around the edges. But, we looked normal compared to the beggars in the alleyways.

The 'snow' fell onto the concrete and built up as we walked around the city. "You see that?" Zeref asked me as he pointed to my left. I turned around to see the ocean. It was ever so slightly sparkling but it hadn't frozen over like I thought it should be. "One day, I'll take you and the pack outside of England to anywhere you like, across this very ocean."

Those words were comforting and I gave him a hug. He was taller so my arms wrapped around his hips. His hand patted my hair and I smiled into his belt. Even if the snow was cold, I could feel the heat radiating from him.

"Zeref! Is this the kid you were talking about?"

I let go of Zeref and hid behind him. My curiosity got the best of me and led me to peek my head to see the owner of the voice. It was a girl, around Zeref's age, with blond hair down to her ankles. She had a big smile and was looking at my brother cheerfully.

"Yes, Mavis, this is my little brother! Isn't he just the cutest little thing?" He asked. He took me by the arm and led my small body in front of him. Her gaze caught mine as she crouched down to get a better look at me. She gave me a small wave and smiled at me.

I blinked embarrassingly at her before giving her a small wave. She squealed at me before taking me into a big hug. I could hear Zeref laughing behind my back and I could feel him crouching down. Before I knew it, I was being sandwiched between them

I slowly squeezed myself out of the hug and watched them hug each other. I waited for the moment to be over, to patiently see their reactions to it.

I tapped Mavis' shoulder and snapped her back to reality. She fell backwards from her crouching position and rubbed her hair. Zeref stood up suddenly and tried to look around for someone. That someone probably didn't exist.

"Zeref! Can I see Mavis again!" I asked him with a grin. He looked at Mavis who looked as eager for his answer as I was. He sighed in defeat from our looks and gave a weak smile.

"Of course! We can see each other anytime!"

Of course, that was a lie...
