KNOWING BETTER

So now I know them, a bit. I've been here for a week and I havent talked about my personal life. Well I did say a tiny bit, I didn't mean to it just happened. I always wear a bracelet and it kinda slipped off one day and Jack must have seen it fallen on the floor and picked it up a while after I dropped it. I saw him pick it up and I thought he took it so I punched him and took the bracelet from him and glared at him but he yelled back saying it was on the floor. So I apologized to him and explained why that bracelet meant so much to me. It was just in the moment kinda thing I didn't really notice myself tell that story to him.

"Well I lied about me being a waitress in my last job. I'm not a waitress I was trained to fight for something. Just one big mission. One which  i can't tell you about. once my mission was done I was set free but still didn't stop hunting bad guys. Before I was recruited I was a normal nine year old living with my parents, just before I was recruited my mom gave me a bracelet. I never part with it because its the only memory I have of my parents. And they don't even know why I left they probably thought I was dead" I said almost in tears but my voice soft and not cracking at all.

I heard a gasp behind me and I saw Elsa and Hiccup standing near the door frame. Elsa looked shocked and Hiccup just stood there as if he saw a ghost, as soon as I saw them I stood up in shock and Elsa came running to me and gave me a hug and with a understanding and a bit sympathetic tone she sais '' Oh Astrid! I didn't know you had such a rough childhood. I'm sorry"

''Nah, what happens,happens for the best I guess '' I said trying to brush it of and not keep this topic going.

"You know for someone with such a rough child hood you are very strong" Hiccup said with a faint smile.

"To strong '' Jack said rubbing his arm where I punched him and we all burst out laughing.

''Thanks" I say laughing too.

''Anyone saw Fishlegs '' Jack asked changing the topic. Which I am greatfull for.

"Maybe somewhere around here '' Elsa said sarcastically gesturing to the big mansion.

''Wheres my girlfriend?" Hiccup suddenly asked. Oh yeah I completely forgot that Merida is Hiccups girlfriend and she totally hates me. Great.

"Somewhere in this humongous area" Jack said laughing. We live at a mansion which belongs to Hiccup. It's kinda confusing how Hiccup could afford this house considering he's not a thief. And o do the know what to do about them being good. Did the boss not know? I want to investigate further  but I've not yet told Big Boss cause I want to know more.  I'm not particularly up for lying but this mission is stroking my curiousity.

"Forget about her she would be good g off  somewhere. Now why do you need Fishlegs ? Hiccup asked Jack. But something seemed off. Did he really not know or pretended.

"He is making something I need" Jack simply answered giving no more details.

''What?'' asked Elsa

"Something I cant tell you about now'' Jack said not meeting her eye.

"Oh ok" she said and sighed. Has this been going on for a while.

"Why not we all help you find Fishlegs" Hiccup said.

"Fine with me, we'll go in pairs I'll go with Astrid you go with Hiccup '' Elsa said.

"Okay" we all said and then went searching for Fishlegs.

HICCUPS POV

"FISHLEGS! FISHLEGS!'' I was shouting out to him.

''Hiccup theres something going on in your head '' Jack looked at me me worried "I can sense it" he said narrowing his eyebrows.

"Dude chill I'm totally fine" I said.

"Are you lying to me really? I have noticed the way you looked at Astrid. Honestly by now I would have expected you to have forgotten about it. She didn't stay and she isn't here. That is a girl we know nothing about and plus stop focusing on her Merida might get jealous. You need to move on. Look at  your girlfriend the way you looked at Astrid today" Jack told me seriously. He was right it was stupid.

"I dont know man I think Merida has been distant from me ever since Snoutlout came and that was from the beginning.  She was fine with me until a  year into our relationship she's just become rude and dosent talk to me much. She's always hanging out with Snotlout. I wonder if he's a bad influence on her. But I can't just tell her not to talk to her best friend. And I care a lot about Merida and no I was just looking at Astrid this once cause I just thought..." I trailed off and Jack understood. He just nodded and looked ahead. Honestly I have full hope that these girlfriend problems will stop soon.

"Yeah even Elsa and I have noticed Merida's behaviour" Jack said his eyebrows furrowed like he was thinking about something.

"Do you think it's time to break up with her, no what am I saying" I said putting g a hand on my head. I love her and I don't want to. I hate myself for even thinking this.

"Dude I think you are free to like and love someone Elsa. And Merida stopped liking you agea before so I think it is time to break up. " Jack said in a concerned tone.

''No I care a lot about Merida and dont want to breakup with her, I have no idea what you have against her but keep it to you're self and let's just get Fishlegs" I snapped at jack and went ahead. And Jack just looked at me.

ASTRIDS POV

''Astrid you search those rooms to the left on this floor and I'll search these to the right." Elsa said pointing to the rooms. Elsa and I are doing the second floor while Hiccup and Jack do the first floor.

I go in search for Fishlegs in the first room it was unlocked no one there , second room- no one there, third room same as the other two, I've almost reached the last room and Elsa is still on the first room. He's a bulky boy not hard to miss she doesn't  need to search so thoroughly. I open the door to the last room which is the fourth room and am shocked at what I see. Oh the Gods above bless my poor eyes. This is soo gross.

''WHAT THE HELL ?" I yelled causing the two people to look at me in shock and a bit of fear.
