SNOTLOUTS JOURNEY

"Dad why won't you just let me be!" The red head yelled. "I'm not a child I'm allowed to love someone" her eyes were glossy and her breathing uneven due to her shaking from anger.

"I don't want you to be with someone who has no criminal records. How about Anus?" The red bearded man asked putting his hand on his chin emphasising that he was thinking. "Really! a guy with a name like that" she shrieked "I'm really interested in this guy dad" she said "But he isn't even into shoplifting" the man spoke his voice booming as he frustratedly tried to reason with his daughter. "I..arghh, What if he could be?" She asked. This earned her a raised eyebrow from her father. "Go on" he said indicating that she had his full attention. "What if we could be together and go undercover and delay all the crimes stopped by the gang?" The man smirked

"And maybe destroy them too" he added, the smirk never leaving his face.

"Will that make you like Snotlout?" Merida asked pleadingly. "Maybe, yes" the man said and Merida smiled. "Daddy I won't let you down" she flung herself onto his lap and crushed him into a tight hug.

"It's not you who has to worry about not letting me down baby girl. It's that lad" Merida simply rolled her eyes.

"Y'all better work hard on taking them down. I don't like them always in my way. Stopping my plans." He said sternly and Merida nodded vigorously. She then sprang out of the room with a hop skip and a jump.
    
She reached for her phone and dialled a number. She waited for a while listening to the caller tune till it came to a short  beep indicating that it had been answered and she said.  "Snotikins?" And a simultaneous 'hmmm' came as a reply. "Dad is fine with us" she said and heard him cheer from the other end. "But we have to do something....." She said and even though she couldn't see him she could tell Snoutlout listened, seriously with a frown on his face and eyebrows almost meeting.

"I can't believe you said yes" Snoutlout yelled at Merida. A look of betrayal in his eyes. He couldn't believe his girlfriend agreed to be the girlfriend of Hiccup Haddock.  He never felt worse. "Snot, I don't really like him" she said pinching her creased nose in frustration. "Imagine the huge leverage I get. I am the girlfriend of the leader. Do you have any idea how much I can twist things around? Stop even more of their projects." She said and he looked at her doubting weather it was a good thing or not. "Plus I'm still yours and you don't have to share me. I'm just acting" she said and he sighed. "I'm pretty sure your dad would be proud." He said defeatedly. "Of us, babe" she said kissing  his chin. "Of us" he smiled and pulled her towards him kissing her firmly.

"What do you want from me your highness?" The man said.

"Hmmmm.... Steven right?" He nodded. "How's your wife and kids?"

"Their good your highness"

"You don't need to call me that, call me Merida"  Merida said.

"How's the smuggling business going?"

"Good but have had a few set backs, this team of do-gooders are on my trail. And one of them is my ex girlfriend who I...I'm blabbering, sorry." He stopped.

"Ohhh please continue!" I requested.

"Who I want to dump my wife for.." he finished.

"Hmmmm..... Whats her name?" I asked.

"Astrid.."  Merida smirked "Steven today is your lucky day!!"

"I can't believe he actually cared for me that deeply" Merida said and sulked in the car.
