Tameka's POV
Me and my mom were back on good terms and we had all caught up and laughed at dinner. I was now in the kitchen helping my mom wash dishes while Trina and my dad yelled at the TV. They were watching the basketball game.
"Ma"
"Yea Tammy"
"I need your advice about something" she looked up like she was waiting on this moment.
"C'mon lets go sit in the backyard" I followed her out back to the backyard and we sat on the edge of the pool with our feet in the water.
"Wine?" She asked me holding up the large bottle of Chardonnay.
"No thank you" Drinking while pregnant was a No no for me.
"What's wrong" she asked swirling the whine in her glass and taking a sip.
"I'm pregnant"
"I know" she said taking another sip. Did she just say she knows...
"How??"
"Your getting thicker and you have a small bump"
"Well then"
"So what's the problem??"
"Me and Jay got into a huge argument" I said twiddling my fingers.
"About what" she sat her glass down and looked at me.
"I don't want him to be a drug dealer anymore"
"Tammy baby" she said laughing. I don't find any of this funny. "You can't make the man stop doing something that he's been doing before he met you!"
"But so much comes with the drug game the hoes, late night hours, the drug bust and even worst the danger of almost dying. And I know for a fact I can't raise twins on---"
"Twins??!?? Your having Twins!!" My mom yelled excited as hell.
"Yes ma" I said looking up at the beautiful blue sky.
"Have you told him?"
"That I'm pregnant, yes.. That I'm having twins no"
"Why not"
"I won't answer his calls"
"You are most definitely my child" she said laughing.
"Ma what do I do??"
"It's not my job to tell you what to do all I can say is do what your heart says be as strong as you were 5 years ago he's gotta be something special if you had the nerve to stand up to me" she said picking her whine glass back up.
"I guess"
"Now c'mon lets go back in and watch these fools yell at the TV"
