I Promise

I started to play the keys to the song that I was going to play. I knew that Nico-chan and Kotori-chan were listening.

I finished singing the song, I heard clapping as I looked back. Seeing that Muse were awake, smiling, and clapping.

'How did I not sense that they were here?' I thought to myself. I felt a faint blush appear on my cheeks. Believe me I'm embarrassed. For two reasons, they all heard, and I didn't sense them there.

I could tell Maki-chan was embarrassed. I could tell, everyone was saying how good her singing was. And I can't blame them for complimenting her.

"Thanks guys." Maki-chan said softly. Everyone nodded as they went to the living room to take something out their bags. I walked up to Maki-chan.

"Maki-chan, promise me that no matter what happens. We both should protect Muse. And if there'd be a day when you run out of blood tablets. Promise me that you would come to me so I can help." I whispered quietly.

Maki-chan nodded, "I promise. But, I really don't want to turn you into a blood thirsty beast." She whispered leaning in as she kissed me softly.

I blushed slightly as I kissed Maki-chan back. We both pulled away slowly as we laid our forehead on each other. Maki-chan gently grabbed my hands. She stared into my ruby eyes.

I could tell she was scared that one day she'll have to drink my blood. And I was afraid to lose Maki-chan. We already know so much about ourselves. And I don't want Maki-chan to suffer because she's holding back her urge for blood.

"No matter what Maki-chan, I'll be here for you." I whispered softly as I closed my eyes. "And so would I." She whispered gently.

I treasure her so much. But now, we both promised each other. And now that promise can't be broken. No matter how hard we try.

We both opened our eyes as we pulled away. "So now what do we do?" I said as I looked at Maki-chan. "We should go to the living room to see if we're planning to make a new song." Maki-chan said gently. I nodded as I grabbed her hand.

She grabbed my hand gently at the same time. As we walked to the living room, holding hands.
