Really boring and short, I know. Sorry about that; I tried to make it funny, though. I've decided that I'm gonna make one chapter in Shawn's POV, then I'll skip ahead. Also, I really need to concentrate on school or I'm gonna end up in summer school (which sucks) so I'm not gonna be able to update as quickly. Again, sorry, and thanks for reading. I hope you enjoy :)
Chapter 5
Eric's POV
I left her apartment and got in my car. Holy shit, I can't believe we're together now. My mind went back to the first time I'd seen her.
-Flashback-
That bitch Ava and her boyfriend asshole Luke were picking on her. "You're such a dirt poor freak, you know that?" she'd said.
"That's probably why her parents didn't want her," Luke added. They laughed as if it was the funniest joke they'd ever heard.
Someone had spread a rumor at school that her parents gave her up and that she lived in a foster home. That hit a nerve because my own parents didn't give a shit about me. Still, she was just ignoring them, walking to her locker. I saw the barely concealed hurt in her expression.
She was pretty with her dark hair and lightly tanned skin. Not at all like the orange colored girls that walked around the school. "Hey freak, I'm talking to you," Ava said, annoyed, and pushed her. She stumbled and I walked over to them.
"Leave her alone." I didn't need to add a threat since I had a reputation at the school. If anyone messed with me or my friends, they'd have hell to pay.
"We were just having fun," she purred seductively. What a whore. Her boyfriend was right there and she was talking like that.
"Leave her alone and walk away. Now."
Luke had more sense than her. "Come on, baby. Let's go." He dragged her away toward the cafeteria.
"Are you okay?" I asked the girl.
She nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for that."
"You're welcome. I'm Eric."
"I'm Amoreena," she smiled at me.
-End of Flashback-
I've liked her since then, but I'd always thought she was too good for me. She was caring, sweet, loving. The type of girl who would fall in love, get married, and have children. I, on the other hand, was a douche and a manwhore, the type of guy who would fuck a bunch of girls until I couldn't anymore.
Whenever I flirted with her before, she flirted back, but that's as far as it had ever gotten. Until now. I couldn't keep the stupid grin off my face as I drove home.
When she'd told me Shawn was going to be her roommate, I was jealous and thought they'd end up together. Shawn was serious about his future and finding a girl. That was one of the reasons we'd never really gotten along well. He would've been perfect for her.
I was selfishly happy that he'd walked in on us kissing. But his expression wasn't jealous or possessive. The only things I saw on his face were amusement, disbelief, and the protectiveness of an older brother.
The thing that worried me the most about this whole situation was Chris. There was something off about him. He was still adorable and anyone could tell he was innocent, but I couldn't help feeling that he wasn't normal. Probably because he was so damn strange.
He has fangs and he doesn't like sunlight. What was he, a vampire? Yeah, right. Vampires were just myths and if I told anyone that, it would get me a one way ticket to a mental hospital.
I got my apartment and went to take a shower. The water running down my body made me think of Amoreena's soft hands... Oh, man. I could still feel her lips moving with mine, our tongues dancing. It had been totally worth the boner. I'd imagined kissing her a thousand times, but nothing could compare to the taste of her.
As I finished and got out of the shower, one half of me thought 'No, you're not calling her; you don't wanna seem like a clingy, needy idiot.' The other, lovesick half thought 'I just need to hear her voice'. I grabbed my phone and dialed her number.
"Hello?" she answered. I could hear Chris crying in the background.
"Hey, why's he crying?"
"He just woke up. I think he had a nightmare or something. Shh, shh, shh, it's okay, cutie."
His cries died down after a minute. "He's alright now?"
"Yeah. Oh, by the way, I wanna take him to Benny's house sometime next week. Do you wanna come?"
"Sure, why not." I heard gulping sounds, like Chris was drinking a bottle. "So, what are you wearing?" I asked in a mock seductive voice.
She laughed. "I'm wearing a bigfoot costume with a thong over it."
"Is it gross that I'm getting turned on thinking about it?"
She laughed again. "Yeah, and now I'm not only worried about your mental health, but your sexual health as well." She paused. "Wait, wait, wait. Are you saying that you think I'd be sexier in a bigfoot costume?"
I doubled over laughing. "Of course not, babe. If the costume had a thong over it... well that's different."
"I'll wear one on Halloween."
"A costume?"
"No, a thong."
Now that really did turn me on. "Amoreena, you cannot say things like that when I'm about to go to work."
"Okay, I'll let you go. See you tomorrow."
"Yeah, bye."
"Oh my god!" she said in a loud voice.
"What?!" I asked, panicking.
"You actually said 'bye'!" She started laughing again.
"That's not funny. I was about to run over there 'cause I thought someone was in the house or something."
"Sorry." But she was still chuckling. "Talk to you later."
"Goodbye, farewell, TTYL, see ya," I said and hung up. I smiled to myself as I got ready. That girl was incredible.
And she was mine.
