The one

Chapter 5

After getting my map and keys for my dorm I found out that I will be sharing a room with some girl called Olivia, I hope she is nice and not a stuck up b*tch but I'm sure it will work out fine.

"So where is your room hun? is it far away or in this building?" my mother asks me as I collect my suitcase that my dad had managed to bring.

"Urm well it should be just down the corridor on the right" I say walking as I check the doors for numbers until I finally find mine.

"Ahh, I found it. Now just need to unlock the door and we can start moving in" I sounded so excited and overwhelmed that I hope I don't start crying like a baby.

"This room is perfect" mum said to herself but loud enough or us to hear, I guess this was a big step for her as well as I have always wanted this and she has wanted it for me I think. So for her to be happy right now made me more calm about the whole thing for some reason.

"Well Aria your mother and I have to go now. We have to be in New York for work tomorrow so we should go." Well it was nice while it lasted I guess.

I gave them my best smile I could come up with an told them it was fine

"Yeah I understand, well thank you for helping me move" I hugged them both tightly as I will miss them even though I hardly ever talk to them, they are my parents after all.

"Of course hun, you are our only daugh- child Aria" I heard how she changed her sentence and hoped I didn't notice, which of course I did but she was probably being her normal random self and forgetting what she was saying in the first place so I left it.

I watched them as they both left shutting the door behind them, well this is it. I just hope my roommate is kind to me.

I looked round my room finally taking it all in and it was just as I hoped it would be, maybe even better. As soon as you walk through the door the kitchen is on the right hand side and living room area or the 'common room' part of the dorm if you would like is filling up the entire space next to it, towards the back of the room are 2 doors leading to the two separate rooms which I'm glad that there will be some privacy.

I decide that I would wait for Olivia to get here and then choose the rooms as I didn't want to seem rude, with first impressions and all.

I sat down on the couch and opened up my twitter app on my phone, I decided to tweet Casey to tell her about the move.

I then went on Facebook to pass the time, I saw some pictures that Casey put up of the sites from when she was driving to her house and it looks beautiful, the scenery is amazing, gosh I am so jealous.

The rattling of a key in the door got my attention as I was about to see my roommate for the first time.

The door flew open along with boxes on one another being carried by who I assume is Olivia.

"Urm, hi do you need any help?" I asked as I noticed her struggle.

"Oh my gosh yes! Thank you, you must be my roommate.." she struggled on my name which I wouldn't blame her for.

"Aria, I'm Aria and you must be Olivia" I smiled at her which she gladly returned.

"Yep that's me! Urm would you mind helping me with these boxes? They are literally just outside" I nodded and went to collect her things which I'm guessing her parents helped bring.

As we got the last boxes in I noticed how similar we are fashion wise. We both had brownish hair but hers was much longer and she styled it into a fishbraid which looked amazing. She wore a simple white top and a blue cardigan, black skinny jeans and some converse. I think it's clear to say we will get along just fine.
