I have always been some what of an outcast. Never noticed by other people instead I just go unnoticed by everyone, if I was to be then it would be from always being picked on by my class peers.

I don't have many friends just one, Casey. She has been my best friend for as long as I can remember, she has been with me through every horrid event in my past so I guess now is when I should let you know my story I guess.. My name is Aria Scott and I live in Cambridge with so called parents, you see they were never there for me growing up and one day we moved houses a couple of miles away to where I am now and soon I found that Casey was my next door neighbour which was the best thing that has literally ever happened.

All my life I have basically known what it feels like to be disappointed, let down and forgotten about. My parents are journalists, always looking for a story which they always get so because of this they missed out on many of my birthdays which I haven't celebrated for years now, I think the last time they did something for my birthday I was 8 and now I am 17 turning 18 in a few weeks. The only time we go somewhere together is on 'holiday' if you even want to call it that as we only go places 2 days max for them to get a story. So yeah that's me.

College was never good to me, which was why uni was going to be a fresh start, Casey is moving to America for her mums work in fashion design which, I may add she is so good at, in fact she has designed all of my dresses that I have and also my prom dress which was a beautiful floor length gown which wasn't one of those big showy dresses but a formal and simple dress which she had made to fit me perfectly, it was in the colour violet as that matches my skin tone, I had never been happier that day as it was the only time my parents had made a fuss over me, they wanted it to be perfect so hired a limo (which I didn't like as I didn't want to make a big deal over) but they wanted me to remember it for ever so ignored my refusal for one, that was and still is the best memory I have of me and my parents.

Casey was moving in 2 days and I was so happy for her but I knew it would make my life much worse without her here for her support.

I start uni in a weeks time and am packing ready for the big change, my mum had gone out and bought loads of boxes for all of my things and my parents then assisted me with the packing of my clothes, books, CDs, telly, laptop, toiletries etc which took longer than expected so I guess I have to cut down on the things I will bring, I organised it so that I only packed the things that I use now and any personal things such as pictures that I will need seeing as I will miss everyone terribly.

I woke up the next morning knowing the outcome soon.. My best friend was moving in 24 hours half way across the world and leaving me to go to uni by myself the following week. I sighed swinging my legs out of bed and hopped into the shower, I put it on quite high to wake me up which definitely worked. After I washed my hair and put on my favourite vanilla body wash I dried myself off and changed into some simple black jeans, white top with a leather jacket (nothing to showy) before drying my hair that reached down to my chest so took a good 5-10 minutes, I decided that I would put a little make up on to hide my dark circles seems as I haven't been sleeping well this past week for obvious reasons, I added a small amount of foundation and topped it off with some concealer and mascara, so now I was finished.

I headed downstairs where my parents had the day off as they were good friends of Casey's mum as far as I knew. I could smell the pancakes cooking as I headed to the kitchen which was unusual to happen.

"Oh Aria, we made pancakes for breakfast, not sure if you wanted any so if you do the batter is still in the bowl and you can make it yourself sweetie" wow thanks.

"Oh no that's fine, I'll just make some toast"

"Suite yourself, like you always do." I heard my dad say under his breath which I chose to ignore.. wow thanks guys.

" Urm do you know what Casey and her mum are planning today?" I wasn't sure if they knew but it was a conversation starter I guess.

"Yes. They are packing the whole day and coming round at 8 so be ready" my mum replied as she was eating her breakfast and reading the morning paper.

I simply nodded even though they weren't looking and headed upstairs to tidy my room ready for Casey and an emotional night, I know they they will be leaving for the airport in a couple of hours after they arrive here so that means we have to say goodbye which I have never done before so I am not looking forward to it.
