Mrs. Robinson ran out of the room with my dad. She looked confused and scared. As soon as they walked out, I began to hear noises. Loud ones. Paper was flying everywhere. Lockers were being hit. I heard a voice too. I soft one. It was saying, "What's happening to me?" I also heard someone crying. It wasn't my dad or Mrs. Robinson. It was the voice.

I was freaking out. The class was freaking out. They had that same confused and scared looks on their faces. I kept calm, so maybe everyone else would relax a bit.

"What do you think is going on?" I asked Cameron. By now, the class had gotten much louder. Some people were crying, and some were talking about going out there and destroying 'the thing'.

"I think there's a monster out there." He said.

"What kind of monster?" I asked confused.

He ignored my question, and got out of his seat. He stood up on his desk to talk to the class.

"Class! Settle down. Someone has to help Mr. Irwin and Mrs. Robinson. And who knows what other teachers are out there. Someone has to kill that monster!" He screamed this very loudly. We can't kill it. We need to help it.

The class was quiet. "So I propose that someone volunteer to go out there. Kill the monster and protect our school. So who want to go??" He asked this in a offering way. The class was still quiet. I don't think anyone wanted to die. I looked around. These people needed help. They needed a leader.

After a very long moment of silence (and the noises outside), no one volunteered. I decided to make a decision. A decision that was made on behalf of the school.

"I will." I said this loud with my hand raised. Everyone stared at me. Cameron looked horrified. He got down from his desk. He got down close to my face. The class began to talk amongst themselves again.

"You can't go out there. You'll get yourself killed." He said this worriedly. I took a deep breath.

"Someone has to. I'm not doing this to make myself a hero. I'm doing this for everyone here. Did you see their faces? Not one of them was going to go out there. Not even you." I replied. He didn't say anything back.

I got up and walked slowly towards the door. As I touched the doorknob, I looked back at the class. At Cameron. They all looked relieved yet concerned. I knew at that moment that I 100% was going to do this. No matter how dangerous.

I looked back at the doorknob and turned it. The door opened with a loud bang.
