I apologize if I haven't gotten to your request yet, I'm going based off of what I feel the most motivation to write at any given time. I will eventually get to yours, but it's better for me to go by this method than in order because the things I write would probably be worse. Requested by Cookie_Stache !!

"Attention students! It is now 10pm, and it is now nighttime! Please be sure to lock your dorm room doors and stay inside until 7 am! Upupupu, goodnight!"

I huffed as the bear's familiar announcement played on the monitor. I was camped out in the library, my nose in an interesting new book. And yet, I had to go back to my room. I pushed my chair in and left the dark room, my newfound book in tow. Despite it being late, I wasn't even the slightest bit tired.

As I walked to my room, I noticed a familiar face approaching in the other direction. Sure enough, Kaito was making his way away from the dorm rooms. Against my better judgement, I called out to him.

"Hey, Momota-kun!" I yelled, the boy turning his head towards me. "Where are you headed? It's nighttime!"

"Oh, hi, (y/n)-chan," he chuckled candidly, a grin on his face. "I can't go to sleep, so I'm going to go stargaze for a bit. You wanna come with?"

"It's breaking the rules..." I murmured. Suddenly, I shook my head and walked towards the tall boy. "Ah, screw it. I can't sleep anyways. Let's go!"

The two of us walked outside of the building and onto the grass field nearby. He sat down on the ground, and I sat next to him. Next thing I knew, we were both laying on the ground, observing the white stars through the clear dome around us.

"For some reason, the stars at this school are clearer than usual," he murmured, a small sigh escaping his lips. "Being the Ultimate Astronomer, this really intrigues me..."

"I can understand why," I whispered just loud enough for him to hear.

"Look," he ordered, extending a pointed finger out to the sky. I inched closer to him, so I would get a better view of what he was pointing to. "That's Orion. One of my favorite constellations. It's so clear from over here..."

"It's beautiful..." I murmured.

"It's not the only thing beautiful!" Kaito chuckled, a grin on his face. After a few seconds, his face flushed red and he stopped laughing. We both lied there in silence, not a word being exchanged between us.

"Hey, (y/n)-chan," he called after a while, startling me slightly. "I... uh, never mind."

"What?" I asked, a smile forming on my lips. "It's ok! Tell me what you want to."

"It's silly, I'll tell you some other time," he brushed it off as he slowly eased himself up to the standing position. He extended a hand down towards me, a hearty grin on his face. Hesitantly, I took it, slowly wobbling up to my feet.

"Let me walk you back," he offered, to which I nodded in agreement. We walked back to the dorms in silence, the eery silence of the usually loud school slightly disturbing us.

Once we made it to my dorm room, Kaito gave me another one of his signature smiles. "I'll see you tomorrow, (y/n)-chan."

"Goodnight, Momota-kun," I responded as I pulled the taller boy into a quick hug. He hugged me back, snaking his arms around my waist. When we parted, he waved at me one final time before turning back to his dorm room.

"I wonder what he had to tell me," I thought out loud as I turned the door knob to my room. For some reason, it wouldn't budge, despite my tireless effort to make it do so.

"You foolish, beautiful human.." a voice called out to me, startling me so that I was frozen in place. I scanned around me, but there was no one nearby. I was convinced I was imagining the voice until I heard it speak to me again. "Don't you know better than to be out past nighttime? Silly girl! Forgive me for what will happen to you."

"A body has been discovered!"

Kaito awoke in a jolt, his eyes widened in shock at the terrifying words. He rushed out of bed, taking minimal time to get ready before hurrying out of his dorm room. He didn't know what to expect, but he was completely horrified by the prospect.

Unfortunately, it couldn't have been worse.

(Y/n) was laying on the ground in front of her dorm room, covered in blood. A small smile was still on her lips, despite being severely injured. He listened as the others determined that she was choked using someone's bare hands, and later stabbed. He stood there in shock, tears flooding from his eyes.

"Momota-San," Saihara called, though he didn't respond. Instead, he whimpered as he crouched over the body.

"She's not dead... she can't be!" He cried, the other students watching in pity and shock. "I was just with her last night... and we looked up at the stars together... and now this?!"

"You were with her last night?" The eerily cool voice belonging to Korekiyo asked, though Kaito's eyes were glued to (y/n)'s body.

"She couldn't sleep, so we went stargazing together," he explained. "There's no way I could ever hurt her."

"We will see about that!" Miu laughed. Kaito suddenly returned to his senses, his sadness and grief turning into anger. Shortly after, his classmates began to investigate elsewhere, leaving him alone with the body.

"Damn it all!" The boy yelled hotly. "I hate myself! I can't believe that I never told you what I meant to say last night!"

There was no response, just the echo of his own voice. Suddenly, the truth slipped out of his lips. "I was in love with you!"

The announcement calling everyone to the trial room played, as he turned away from the body. Clenching his fist, a feeling of determination filled him.

"I will avenge you, (y/n)-chan. I'll make the fucker who did this to you pay. I love you, my dear... rest easy."
