An ouma x reader that won't make me want to kill myself after I write it

"Hello! Back to earth, (y/n)!" A stern voice snapped, yanking me out of my daydream. I was suddenly startled by some sort of fabric being shoved in my face, and I scrambled to quickly pull it away. My friend Iruma stood above me, an angry look on her face.

"Huh? What's this?" I asked, inspecting the fabric. It was a maid dress far more expensive than what I was used to, sewn with fabric with a consistency similar to silk. Iruma only chuckled at my confusion, crouching down in front of me.

"You like? Tsumugi told me to give it to ya. Turns out us three have been selected to help out at the dinner party tonight!" She exclaimed in delight. "So, you should go make your ugly mug a little less ugly, and meet us in the kitchen. Stat!"

I nodded, jumping up to run to my room. Once inside the small living space, I quickly changed out of my dirty cleaning clothes and put on the silky dress, taking a very brief moment to inspect myself in the mirror.

As I was fairly new to the castle, this would be my first dinner party, and my first shot at meeting the master. I've only heard stories about him, but he seemed to be quite the enigma. My heart racing out of my chest, I quickly finished getting ready and flung myself out the door, walking at an expedient pace.

Once in the kitchen, Tsumugi and Iruma were waiting for me with their arms folded. "What on earth took you so long? The party has already begun!"

Tsumugi shoved a tray of plates in my hands, giving me a light shove. "We gotta go serve the food! Stat!"

I dashed out, my arms shaking under the weight of the trays. Though sure enough, a lot of well dressed people sat together at at least a dozen round tables, impatiently waiting for their food.

"Ah yes! The appetizer course has begun!" A cheery yet devious voice exclaimed. All the way down at the farthest table sat a small boy, his head resting on top of his hand. Suddenly, it hit me. That was the prince. Why was he so tiny?

"Please, come down here," the prince called to me, beckoning slightly. I walked compliantly, though my face turned bright red in embarrassment. I felt eyes sticking to me as I trudged towards him, gently setting one of the plates in front of him. Sure enough, all of the other maids scuttled out, ensuring everyone had a plate.

"Excellent! Now, let's eat!" The prince exclaimed joyously. Everyone became occupied in the food, though the prince kept his attention on me. "You there. Can you come here for a moment?"

I nodded meekly, stepping towards him. I cleared my throat, mustering up the courage to speak. "Master... is there.. a-anything.. I can help you w-with?"

"Hey! Don't be so afraid of me!" The prince whined. "And my name is Ouma! Didn't you know that? Actually, I haven't seen your pretty little face before. Are you one of the new girls?"

"Pretty?!" I stammered, my cheeks turning pink. I shook my head, trying not to let the compliment affect me.

"Haha, you're so cute when you're flustered!" Ouma smiled. "Now tell me, what have you heard about me? Hopefully none of the maids have been calling me a flirt, because I can assure you I don't do this often."

"Yes... I'm n-new..." I admitted. "And I haven't heard much, to be honest."

"Really?" He asked, a disappointed tone in his voice. "Not even a 'strange' or a 'weird'? Don't lie to me..."

"I heard that you're a bit... puzzling," I giggled anxiously. "But I don't see it."

"Alright! Now we're being honest with each other!" The boy chuckled. "Not that I wasn't honest with you before! You really are pretty!"

"Ah!" I yelled, covering my mouth to hide my blush. "Thank you... you're too kind..."

"Don't ya mention it!" The boy chorused. "I'm gonna let you get back to work, but can you show up to my room later tonight? I'm hoping to get to know ya better."

I smiled meekly. "I would love to!"

He giggled. "Well, I can hardly wait! I'll see you then!"

After we finished cleaning up the party, I was finally dismissed from my duties for the night. My once pristine and luxurious uniform was covered with stains and dirt, making my million dollar outfit look like it cost a penny. I shuffled up the stairs, nervously planting a knock on the prince's door.

"Ah, it's the maid girl from earlier! Come on in!" His voice cheered through the door. I opened it, finding him sitting in an expensive chair with a book on his lap. "I never caught your name earlier. What is it?"

"(Y/n)..." I stammered.

"Ah! Fitting!" He grinned happily. "A pretty name for a pretty girl like you!"

"Thanks..." I sighed nervously.

"Loosen up a little, why don't ya? I'm not gonna bite or anything," he pleaded sadly.

"Alright," I smiled, deciding to give in to him. I sat down on the nearby sofa, though I was slightly worried about my dress dirtying the chair.

"You know... a girl like you is way too cute to be doing dirty work like that," he frowned. "And I bet ya have a stellar personality too. If only I could force it out of you..."

"I don't know if that's a good choice of words," I laughed.

"See! That little glimmer of your personality is great!" He yelled, his sudden loudness disturbing me. "I know! How about you and I have a private lunch tomorrow? I'll make sure Tsumugi gets you an outfit better than that dingy uniform. I just wanna get to know you better!"

"I'd love to," I nodded in excitement. Just as I stood up to leave, I felt his hand grab onto mine.

"Wait! Before you go!" He yelled, his purple eyes focused on me. I stood facing him for a few minutes, the two of us enveloped in an awkward silence. I froze as his lips moved to my cheek, planting a small kiss upon it.

"See you tomorrow," he chuckled deviously. "I can hardly wait."
