Millie glanced up from time to time at the clock on the wall. It seemed like and hour before it was even ten minutes. Millie wondered why. And it never seemed to be morning, it was just dark the whole time. Of course Millie didn't notice this, she was too busy in her thoughts.
She kept getting flashbacks of these weird memories, they were like old snapshots, they came and disappeared in under a second.
In one of them it was a picture of Millie and Finn hugging. They looked like they were having fun. Millie had her arms wrapped around Finn and Finn's arms were tangled around her waist. They were laughing in the picture without a care, whoever took the picture must've made them laugh so hard.
They looked very young in the picture, maybe 14. Millie never remembered taking it. It was just very random. Millie doubted that it was real though.
In another flashback it was like a video of them singing. It was so random, and it looked a lot like those cliche romance films and the two main characters are singing some happy song, making people gush over them with heart eyes.
-Flashback-
"Wise men say, only fools rush in..." Millie sang, holding Finn's hand tighter.
"But I can't help falling in love with you..." Finn sang back smiling at Millie.
"Shall I stay?"
"Would it be a sin?"
"If I can't help falling in love with you..."
"Like a river flows surely to the sea.."
"Darling so it goes..."
"Some things are meant to be..." Finn leaned over and kissed Millie's cheek softly. She blushed and smiled at Finn.
"Take my hand, take my whole life too..." Millie sang louder, staring at Finn.
"For I can't help..." Finn placed his hand on Millie's cheek.
"Falling in love with you..."
-End of flashback-
That one was one of the most visual ones. It was actually realistic. But Millie didn't ever remember singing it with Finn before. Never... She knew now that Finn sang and played uke but she never remembered singing it with him.
Millie also remembered that she dazed off and she saw this cloudy vision in her head. It was also pretty realistic but still blurry.
It was a snapshot of Finn and Millie standing leisurely on a terrace, theirs hands linked together. They were staring ahead of them and as far as Millie knew, it was night that time because she could see the night sky at the corner of the vision.
In that snapshot Millie and Finn looked like the same age they were when Millie saw the picture of them hugging. It was weird, that was all Millie could think of.
Then Finn suddenly came to her and sat down. He was holding a cup of some mystery liquid and as far as Millie knew, it was some hot drink.
"Here have some tea." Finn put the warm cup in her hand slowly, making sure not to spill the cup.
"Hey can I ask you something?" Millie asked after she took a sip of the tea. It was good and it was also faintly familiar to her.
"Yeah but it depends on what the question is." Finn gave Millie a weak smirk.
"Why does this party seem to go on forever?" Millie asks and takes a sip of the tea.
"Well that's really hard to answer but I'll try my best. To be logical this party just never ends. It's really a rare thing like really really rare. These parties just seem to last for a long period of time. And people just come and go to it. The house is basically free, you can do anything and take anything." Finn explains while playing with his hoodie strings.
Millie gave him a puzzled look and asked,"But who owns it?"
Finn just shrugged and answered,"I don't know..."
Millie gave him an even more confused look,"Does anybody care if we're here?"
"No. No one is suppose to care about each other. You do your own thing here." Finn said.
Millie nodded and silence shadowed over them and Millie asked another question,"Have we ever sang anything together?"
Finn looked up from his strings and gave her a side smirk,"Why?"
"No reason." Millie lied, she didn't want to embarrass herself.
"Well... Yes, we did sing together. Often. We even made a few videos. But just a few." Finn stopped and waited for her reaction, Millie just nodded for him to continue,"We both learned to play uke, like in that video, some brilliant people taught us. That's another reason on how we met.
"We went to the same music tutors... They were amazing and they had a great passion for music." Finn stopped and dwelled on the past.
"What were there names?" Millie asked curiously.
"Ms. Dodie and Mr. Jon. They were a couple just trying to have a music career so they taught private uke and piano lessons." Finn told her, thinking about those good days.
"Oh really?" Millie asked. That was nice to hear. She actually had a normal life back then.
She also remembered hearing the name Ms. Dodie before but she didn't remember where.
"Where are they now?" Millie asked.
"I don't know but they should be alive, everybody loves them." Finn shrugged.
"And Finn?" Millie asks, she was scared to ask this next question.
"Yeah?" He answers.
"What was my life back then?"
