Just Another Day at the Beach

"What brings you to the beach on this fine day?" RJ asked me. I let off a light laugh feeling relieved from the awkwardness. "Wala naman. Just wanted to spend time with my best friend. And i missed the beautiful beach." I said. "Maganda nga yung Beach, pero mas maganda ka." I heard him mumble. "Ano?" I said. "Wala! Sabi ko may kasama ka pala?". Ah akala ko may sinabi sya. Libre mangarap Meng. I thought. "Yup! Eh ikaw? What brings you here naman on this fine day?" I said being friendly. "I work here! Sa may restaurant dun kaso lang break ko ngayon kaya this is the bench i stay pagka free time ko." he said. "Ay ang cool naman! May restaurant pala dito. Dun nga kami kakain ng lunch mamaya." I said. "Sige. Kaso lang matagal pa matatapos shift ko. I know, libre ko nalang kayo ng friend mo for lunch." he said. "Hindi na RJ! Nakakahiya naman! Kami na ok lang!" I said surprised by the invite. "Hindi ok lang talaga. It's on me. Walang problema.". "Sige na nga. Salamat, RJ ha." I said really meaning it. "No worries. Asan na nga pala yung kaibigan mo?" He asked. "May conference call sa work eh. Mukhang matagal pa yun. Importante daw." I said. "Sasamahan nalang kita habang wala pa sya." He said flashing a dimple iv'e never seen before. Ohmaygah ang gwapo. Hinga Meng, hinga. "Ay ok lang! Kaya ko mag isa." I said showing him that there really was nothing to worry about. "Maine. Ok lang. Wala rin naman akong ginagawa ngayon eh." he said. There was  some reason the way he talked that made him convince me easily. His appeal was different from all the other boys i've met. "Hay nako. Iba ka talaga RJ." I said.
