Just Another Day at the Beach

Dinner

It was 7:00 p.m, one hour 'till Native's was closing. I decided to pick RJ up at his office and cook him dinner. I cooked him just simple Carbonara which left the kitchen smelling so good. Then i walked to the restaurant. Tuesday greeted me at the door and without me even saying anything, she told me to walk to RJ's but to knock too. I knocked on the door and said "RJ! Si Meng toh.". "Oh Maine! Teka lang.". I could hear his steps rushing to the door. "Hi RJ." I smiled as i hugged him tightly. "Mag c close na ba kayo?" I asked. "Yeah in 5 minutes. Ano ginagawa mo dito? I'm packing up na actually." He said pointing to his desk. "Wala lang. I just wanted to pick you up kasi i know you've had a long week. Buti tapos na.". "Nako ang sweet sweet naman ng Menggay ko." He said squeezing my hand. "Okay lang naman ako, basta andyan ka." He said. I giggled and said "Oh sige i'll let you finish packing nalang." I said, taking a seat on the seat in front of his desk. He packed his stuff and i talked to him so he would let go of some of the stress in his mind. "How was your day?" I asked. "Ok naman. Got everything i needed to do done. I'm finally free at iyong iyo na ako for the week!" He exclaimed. I laughed giving him a pinch on the cheek. Then i rolled my eyes and said "Edi wow." teasing him. "Sungit." He said smirking.

When RJ finished his work, we walked to the house and i was in the lead, obviously excited to make RJ try the Carbonara i made just for him. I opened the door and waked inside going to the kitchen. "Ta daaa!" I said raising my arms up. "I made you dinner!". "Uy! Ano yan? Ang bango!" He said licking his lips. "Carbonaraaa!" I smiled. I handed him a plate and a fork, "Eat na. I bet you're really hungry.".
"Thank youuuuu Maine." He said giving me a kiss on the cheek. I jogged for a glass, "What do you want to drink?". "Water lang, love.". "Love? Bago yun ah." I smirked. "Oo naman." He said as he took the glass i handed to him. I was just about to walk away when he grabbed my hand and pulled me close, our faces only inches apart. "Thank you." He said. "You're welcomeee." I smiled. "Nakakagigil ka!" I joked pinching his cheek again. "I love you." He said. "I love you more." I replied.
