"Ma! I got the job! And RJ told me to stay at his place!"

"Congrats nak! Pero yung resume mo ha. Mag apply ka parin kahit pinasok ka na ni RJ."

"Oo, ma. Sige i'll pack my bag na. For one week dapat yung damit ko diba?"

"Yup kasi you'll go home on weekends diba?"

"Yeah. Okayy bye maaa! Thank you!"

"Bye, nak."

I started packing my bag with clothes that can last for a week. Then i went off to the mall to buy some formal clothes fit for a secretary. Blouse lang naman na long sleeves yun diba? Guess so. So i bought a bunch of those, pants, and a pair of flats. I really wasn't a high heels person. Then i packed the essentials; toothbrush, toothpaste, napkin (kasi you'll never know when you're gonna get it), shampoo, soap, you know the others. Then when i finished, i fell in bed and stared at the roof. Ang swerte ko naman. Ang bait bait ni RJ. Lord, salamat po na nakilala ko siya. Sobrang malaki yung pasasalamat ko na naka pasok ako sa trabaho. Salamat po na nakilala ko si RJ. Then i shut my eyes and took a rest.

The next day i called RJ to tell him i would be leaving for Batangas already.

"I'm leaving later this afternoon. After lunch pa. So i can settle my stuff na and all that jazz."

"Yeah, yeah sure. But i actually won't be home pero you can drive by Native's and stop by my office to grab the key."

"Okay i will. Actually after fixing my stuff sa room i can already give you my resume and stuff."

"Yeah pwede rin but i suggest you rest first."

"Nah okay lang. i'll stop by for a bit. Okay byeee thanks RJ!"

"You're welcome, Maine."

I still had some spare time so i cooked some fried chicken for myself. But while i was cooking, something got into my head and it was bothering me.

"Sasagutin ko na ba si RJ?" I said to myself. "Sabi ni mama, hintayin ko yung tamang oras, yung tamang panahon. Ako na daw bahala. Feeling ko na kasi tamang oras na eh. Walang ginawa si RJ sakin kundi maging mabait." I paused. "Oo. Tamang oras na. Pero pano ko sasabihin?" I paused again. "Meng. Wag mong isipin yun. When the right time comes, say it! Wag mong i practice. Kaya mo toh."

I ate lunch alone (what's new) then threw my luggage in the trunk of my car, then i drove. I turned the radio on and jammed to some old music. I wasn't lonely, i was used to it, but something was missing. Someone.
