Just Another Day at the Beach

We got to the dock and we walked together side by side. I stopped walking at one point and turned RJ to face me. I said gently, "RJ.". "Maine.". "Ito na ata yung tamang panahon na masasabi ko na yung mga salita na hinihintay mo.". He just looked at me a but confused. "RJ." I said letting out a breath. "Sasagutin na kita. Oo, pwede na kita maging girlfriend. Alam kong kakakilala lang natin the other day dun sa blue bench, pero that moment, i knew i was happy, kahit magkaibigan lang tayo nun. And when you asked me if you could court me, i was sure i never wanted to be with anyone else in my life.". His eyes let out a dazzling shine of wonder, and his smile made him stand out among the rest. I knew that i'd never get tired of this precious face. "Nananaginip ba ako?" He asked in awe. He looked like he was gonna explode of happiness. "Hindi." I said giggling cupping his face with my hands. He hugged me tightly and i knew that i never wanted to let go.

After crying a bucket of tears of happiness with RJ, i asked a random teenager to take me and RJ's picture. She looked like she knew what she was doing so i handed her my phone and she took a few snaps. As i was going through the pictures, my heart was full. All the pictures were beautiful, but the one that caught my eue was the last photo. One of me and RJ holding hands, our hair flowing easily from the beach's breeze, laughing at something he said. I tweeted it finding it really cute. I captioned it with a quote not to heavy or cheesy, "I know they say there's a lot of fish in the sea, but you're my Nemo 🐠🙈 (too bad there's no Nemo emoji)". As i pressed the tweet button, i closed my eyes and braced myself for the reply tweets my friends would send. And as i opened my eyes, i got the cutest reply of all. "Fishy! Crush, pansinin mo naman ako..." from RJ. I looked up from my phone and saw RJ covering his mouth from laughing and he mouthed the words "I love You.". I shook my head and mouthed back "I love You too."

We got to a Japanese restaurant on a table for two facing each other. He took my hands saying, "Maine nakakabigla ka naman. Di ko inexpect yun ah!". I laughed also not over the moment. "Alam mo, sobrang cute mo!" I pinched his cheeks. And we ate our dinner, as the happiest people at that moment, on July 16, 2015.
