I got home and entered the house seeing Aunt Hudson with her arms crossed looking at me.
"Hi Auntie. Is there something wrong?Where is Thomas?"
"I-i don't know.. that's what I was going to ask you about..."
"What?"
"He went in the backyard this morning and he wouldn't answer. Could you find him for me?"
"Sure Auntie. Don't worry. I'll find him." , I rubbed her arm and smiled reassuringly.
Now I'm going in the backyard... thousand of thoughts are haunting me... I don't want to lose my brother...
There was a path that I didn't seem to notice earlier these days so I followed it. That's what he would do. A house came into the view so I gently knocked on its door.
A girl that seemed my age appeared at the door very happy.
"Hi there! You must be Karla!"
"Hi... how do you know my name?". I'm not going to lie. I was scared.
"Tommy told us!". Us?
"Oh.. my name is Violet by the way!", she said shaking my hand.
The name sounded quite familiar... but I decided to just ignore it.
I smiled and she grabbed my hand dragging me inside the house.
"Come and play with us!"
I know it shouldn't be ok talking to strangers but something about her seems interesting and I thought that it would be fine to just go with the flow...
The house was actually a small wooden cabin which seemed very old. The windows were all broken, there were planks missing from the floor and cracks in the ceiling.
It smelled very weird.
We got into the living room and I saw blood stains on the walls. I gasped and Violet just smiled at me innocently.
"I'm going to the bathroom. Wait for me here" , said Violet.
Someone closed my eyes and put their hands around my waist. I screamed but suddenly he turnt me around.
I was so happy that it was Jasper. He hugged me again.
"I'm so happy to see you!", said he.
"Me too! Where are your glasses?"
"U-um.. they fell and broke"
"Ok... so where did you leave class today so early?"
"I went to the bathroom.."
"Ok then"
And there was Thomas standing in the doorway.
"OH MY GOD TOMMY I LOOKED EVERYWHERE FOR YOU!"
I said destroying his hairstyle.
"Karlaaaa!", he whined. "It took me a while to do it"
"That sucks for you!", I chuckled. "Come on, let's go home buddy."
I grabbed his hand but he didn't obey.
"Come on Thomas. Aunt is expecting you home."
"Pleeasee stay and play with us just one time then you may leave if you want to.." ,explained Jasper while getting close to me. Now I'm sure I like him. Was he doing this on purpose?
"Ok.. we will stay for a bit"
"Yay!",exclaimed the three.
"These are my twin sister, Shady and Coraline. They're 13 years old."
