LillyBelle pov (Cancer)
"Lil Lil Lil Lil!" a voice shouted, interrupting LillyBelle's dream.
"What?" LillyBelle asked, warily. She slowly opened her eyes to see her little brother, Ethan, bouncing up and down at the side of her bed.
"Get up, get up, get up! Today is the first day of summer and you said you would tak me to the beach, remember?" Ethan said. That woke LillyBelle up fully.
"Oh yeah. Leave so I can get ready," LillyBelle told her brother. He bounced out of the room. LillyBelle flung the covers off herself and rushed over to her dresser. She grabbed a royal blue bikini and a pure white, lace cover-up and threw them on. Then she dashed into the bathroom, brushed her black hair and put it in a high ponytail, and ran into the kitchen.
"Morning mom, dad!" LillyBelle said as she dashed to grab her car keys and a beach bag she had packed the night before.
"Morning sunshine. Where you going?" her dad asked.
"The beach. Remember I told Ethan I'd take him?" LillyBelle replied.
"Have fun," her mom said. LillyBelle opened the front door and got into her car. Ethan was already there, shoving a donut into his mouth.
"Ready buddy?" LillyBelle asked.
"Uhhmmn." Ethan tried talking, but couldn't because of the donut in his mouth.
"I'll take that as a yes." LillyBelle shoved the key into the car and the engine purred to life. Ethan finished chewing as they backed out of the driveway and turned to LillyBelle.
"I'm so glad we live in Hawaii. Otherwise, we couldn't be going to the beach right now!"
"Me too buddy."
Miles pov (Pisces)
Miles woke up and slowly crawled out of bed. He zombie walked out into the kitchen, grabbed a bowl of cereal, and walked into the living room. He then sat down on the couch and turned the tv on. He set it at a low volume, since his mom was sleeping. His mom worked 3rd shift so she had probably just recently gotten home. Miles dad was already at work. It was hard to have family moments when your parents hardly saw each other, but they made it work. Sometimes Miles dad would get out of work early and they would go mini golfing or bowling. His mom would show up to work late so we could go out to eat when something special happened. The most time they had together was when they went on vacations though. They always went to a condo in Germany. They didn't go often though because plane tickets from Ireland, where they lived, to Germany were very expensive. They also always had to find a way to get Miles sister, Liza, there too. She went to college in London because they had the best program for her degree. Miles honestly had no idea what the degree was, but that didn't really matter to him. He heard footsteps coming from the hallway.
"Mom, go back to sleep," Miles said.
"I'm not mom Miles." Miles turned around to see a tall, blonde haired girl with chocolate brown eyes. She smiled widely.
"Liza?" Miles asked, almost to quiet for her to hear.
"I'm home," Liza said, opening up her arms. Miles ran over to her and hugged her so tight he was positive she couldn't breathe.
"Your home! How? Didn't you have to stay in London for the summer so you could work on a summer job for your degree?" Miles asked.
"Yes, but they found a place that I could work at here so I could be with you! I'll be here all summer," Liza said.
"Really?" Miles couldn't believe it. Liza nodded, smiling. "Yippy!"
"Shh. Don't want to wake Mom up," Liza said.
