Miles's pov(Pieces)
Miles was sitting on the couch, talking quietly with Liza. They had already called their dad and he had immeadietly gone to try to get the day off work so they could be together.
"So, where are you going to be working?" Miles asked.
"Some place called The Eye of Hope I think," Liza replied. Miles remembered she was studying to be an eye doctor.
"Oh, I know that place. One of my friends goes there. The people there are really nice," Miles said. Liza sighed, probably of relief.
"That's great to know. Now I don't have to be so worried about the first day I go there," Liza said, smiling.
"When do you start?" Miles asked. He wanted to know how much time he was going to get to spend with Liza before she had to work during the day.
"Next week," Liza said. "I get a whole week of just you and me." Miles smiled at the thought. He never got to see Liza anymore so a whole week sounded like heaven.
"I can't wait! We can go to the fair they just set up a few blocks away, we could go to that one nearby lake..." Miles was cut off by a brisk knocking on the door.
"I'll get it," Liza said, standing up. Miles waited patiently and when Liza came back, there was also a woman with her.
"Hello," the woman said. "I am Raina Hunting. Please call me Raina though."
"Okay Raina. I'm Miles," he said, shyly. He gave a small wave. Raina smiled and walked over to him.
"May I?" she asked, gesturing towards the couch. Miles nodded and Raina sat down next to him. Liza sat down in a chair directly across from the couch.
"So you're here because of... you know, right?" Liza asked Raina. Miles had no idea what they were talking about, but Raina nodded. "That's what I thought. I never thought it would be so soon though."
"I know. It snuck up on all of us. I really wish I didn't have to do this, but we are in dire need of their help," Raina said. "I already have four of them with me right now. Once I have six I'm supposed to go back to the training center. He's the second to last one."
"I have no idea what the heck you're talking about. Can someone please explain?" Miles asked. Liza sighed and leaned foward.
"I never want to be the one to tell you this, but Miles you're adopted," Liza said.
"What?" Miles asked. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Him, adopted. "Why didn't anyone tell me?"
"I honestly don't know. I didn't even know until I went to college, so then, even if I wanted to tell you, I couldn't have," Liza said. Miles turned to Raina.
"So what does me being adopted have to do with you?" Miles asked.
"Well I know where you're from and what you really are," Raina said.
"Okay, I get the 'where you're from' part but not the 'what you really are' part," Miles said.
"That's easy. You're not really human. You are a constellation. Pisces to be exact. You used to be a constellation, but was sent down to the earth to help stop an important rising danger our prophets foresaw," Raina said.
"No way that's possible," Miles said, even though secretly he loved that idea. Him and constellation, almost like an alien to this planet.
"Miles you have to believe Raina. I know you have a wonderful imagination, so use it," Liza said.
"I guess I can believe her, but it's still really hard to believe," Miles said.
"I can help with that. Now, no matter how outrageously stupid this is going to sound, please just try," Raina said. Miles nodded. "I need you to try to make that book float using telekinesis."
"Wha-"
"I said just try it." Miles lifted up his hand and aimed energy at the book. He was really just guessing on what to do, but it seemed to be working. He could now sense the book through his fingertips. He slowly rised his hand and the book floated into the air. He jumped back, shocked, and the book fell onto the table again.
"Did I really just do that?" Miles asked.
"Yes you did," Raina said, smiling. "Do you believe me now?"
"Yes," Miles said.
"Great. We need to go now then," Raina said.
"Wait, right now? But Liza just got back from college. Can't you come and get me later?" Miles asked. "I promise I'll go with you then."
"Alright. I'll give you until 7:00 o'clock tonight," Raina said.
"Thank you!" Miles said. Raina nodded and left.
Raina's pov
As soon as Raina walked out the door, there stood Gemina. She jumped when she saw Raina.
"Oh hey!" Gemina said, plastering a nervous smile onto her face.
"What are you doing out if the car?" Raina asked.
"Oh ya know. Just normal things. I got bored and got out of the car."
"Me too!" a voice behind Raina said. This time it was Raina jumping. She turned around to see carmel colored hair pulled half up and half down, bright blue eyes, and slightly dark skin. Aura, the Libra sign.
"Oh no. Don't tell me you two are the adventure group," Raina said. Gemina laughed and Aura nodded. Raina groaned.
"Back into the car," Raina said.
"You'll have to catch us first!" Aura yelled and both of them took off into the sky.
"No! Come back down! You're not strong enough to fly that high without falling!" Raina called. The two girls flew back down and landed next to the car.
"Okay, we won't do that anymore," Gemina said, smiling widely. Her and Aura got into the car and Raina walked up to the drivers seat.
"Where are we going next?" one voice called.
"And where's the new zodiac?" another called.
"We're going to London next. The new zodiac is staying here until later because his sister just got back from college this morning and he wanted to spend some time with her before he left," Raina said.
"Yes! London! I've always wanted to go there!" Raina heard someone shout. She hit the gas and a portal opened up in front of the car. She drove towards it and they went straight through, on to get the next zodiac, Scorpio.
