Gemina's pov(Gemini)
Gemina grabbed her phone off the nightstand next to her bed. She quickly called her friend, Vicky. Vicky picked up instantly.
"Hey! First day of summer!" Vicky squealed.
"I know! And since we live in the Bahamas, the weather is amazing! I say we hit the beach this afternoon," Gemina said.
"Totally! I have a new swimsuit I'm dying to wear."
"Alright I say we..." Gemina was cut off by her mom.
"Gemina, someone's here to see you!"
"Okay mom! Let me get dressed first!" she called back. "I have to go. Call you back later," she said to Vicky.
"Okay. Bye!" Gemina hung up and dashed to her dresser. She quickly threw on a pair of jean shorts and a sky blue crop top. Then she painfully brushed through her bright orange hair and put it in a messy bun. Then, she dashed downstairs.
"I'm here!" Gemina said as she sat down on the couch. "Now where is the person you wanted me to meet?"
"Right here," said a voice to her right. Gemina jumped. "Oh I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" A woman stepped in front of Gemina. She looked like she was about 25 and had amber eyes and wavy, blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail. She wore a black skirt, a galaxy designed, short sleeved shirt, and a pair of silver sandals.
"It's alright. I just didn't expect that. You're the one who wanted to see me?" Gemina asked. She wasn't fazed by a stranger wanting to meet her. She had had this before. Sometimes people stopped by her house to ask her to sing at events. She wasn't famous, but most people in and around her town knew who she was and her talent. Gemina assumed that's what this woman wanted.
"Yes I am. I am Raina Hunting," the woman said, smiling kindly.
"Nice to meet you, Ms. Hunting. I'm Gemina Skylark," Gemina said.
"Please, call me Raina," Raina said.
"Alright. Why did you want to see me Raina?"
"I have come here to tell you that you aren't an actual human. You are a constellation. The Gemini constellation to be exact," Raina said.
"And I'm supposed to believe you?" Gemina said. "Prove it."
"Alright. Try to fly," Raina said. Gemina looked at her, bewildered.
"Fly! I can't do that!" Gemina said.
"Just try," Raina replied. Gemina sighed, still postive this wasn't going to work, and stood up.
"Fine. I'll try." Gemina closed her eyes and concentrate on lifting off the ground. She opened her eyes and screamed.
"What's wrong honey..." her mom said as she came into the room. "You're floating. How?"
"Like I said earlier, you are a constellation. The constellation of Gemini. You are the perfect embodiment of someone born under the sign of Gemini," Raina said, calmly. "Being a constellation gives you many magical abilities. Flying is one of them. It comes from your air sign." Gemina floated to the floor.
"If I'm a constellation, how was I born and why am I human?" Gemina asked.
"The born part I will leave to your parents. The human part is for later," Raina replied.
"Later? What do you mean later?" Gemina asked, confused. Raina smiled, sadly.
"You have to come with me. I need to train you to used your abilities so you can defend yourself and fight against..."
